• EA Senior Engineer: 'The Wii U Is Crap'

Although I do agree that calling for someone to lose their job because they posted their opinions of a games console on Twitter is an incredibly childish thing to do.
I don't understand why important figures of big companies feel the need to spout whatever unprofessional ravings that come to mind on a public website like Twitter. It is a stupid thing to do, and whether you think it should or not, it can in many cases lead to them being fired or 'resigning'.
I honestly agree with the guy. The Wii U is underpowered crap with a weird-ass tablet interface, and Nintendo does operate like it's the 90s. Nintendo has virtually no third-party applications for their console (because it's underpowered crap), and all Nintendo's software is still the same kiddie fare they put out in the 90s. Only problem is, we aren't 12 anymore.
Just because you're 24 doesn't mean everyone should be 24. Media doesn't grow up along with an individual, it's the individual that must adapt to the media.

[editline]20th May 2013[/editline]
Probably the same reason why just about everyone else feels the need to spout unprofessional ravings on a public website like Twitter.
It depends on the parties. When the president of Tripwire said Call of Duty was ruining a generation of video gamers, and that CoD players were just "not that good" at video games, nobody cared about a lack of professionalism. When David Brevik said that Blizzard North doesn't know how to make action RPG's, nobody cared about a lack of professionalism. It seems like if you are attacking the the right party while seen as an underdog it's perfectly acceptable to have unprofessional ravings. Something tells me that if it was a Nintendo employee bashing EA over Twitter the OP would be nothing but winners, zings, and agrees, and Fangz and Makol wouldn't be asking for that persons job.
no big first-party wii-u games
how many consoles launch with "big first party titles?" Nintendo's last console that did was the n64 (mario 64, and that was big on a completely different level.) gamecube only launched with two nintendo games, one being a pseudo-mario game. Wii only launched with Twilight Princess because the game took years to develop and the Wii was similar to the Gamecube already, so porting it was pretty easy. And none of the other consoles from last gen launched with anything special either. Nintendo's starting to get their Wii U games ready for steady monthly releases according to rumors, and you'll most likely be seeing what they have in store when they announce their stuff in their pre-E3 Nintendo directs.
an unnecessary focus on third-party that aggravated their longtime fans
the fans are never happy regardless.
releasing a backwards and outdated console AGAIN right on the cusp of the next generation
the worth of a console should never be considered by the power of the console and people need to get out of this mindset. n64 was the most powerful console of it's generation and it's game selection paled in comparison to what the PS1 got. xbox and gcn were more powerful than PS2 and that outsold both of them and had a bigger selection of games too. are you seriously going to say that releasing an "outdated" console is a bad thing and then ignore those two facts? what hurt the wii u is the fact that when it came out, PS3 and 360 were both cheaper and came with a lot more. you seriously don't think that the continued sale of 360s and PS3s won't hurt PS4 and Nextbox's sales this year? the core gamer might upgrade (if the price and launch games are right) but the average joe consumer won't. what would be the point? these newer consoles have less games and probably won't even support backwards compatibility. there's no point in dropping a ton of cash for getting less, especially when developers will still be supporting those two consoles. and if development costs rise next generation because of all of the new tech, then that might affect the price of games too.
I never said anyone should be fired. Good job at making something up.
oh sorry for the assumption, when you rate people who think he should be fired agree I tend to see that as something you are agreeing with.

If one did get an agree is was because my finger is too big for small touch screens. Unless they were the ones about the Microsoft guy since I thought this whole thing would be a repeat of that event. [editline]20th May 2013[/editline] Back on topic, anyone know what ever happened to this guy? He deleted the tweets a while ago and hasn't tweeted since.

Also, Bob Summerwill is Pro-Ouya:
Yeah I knew the Microsoft guy was fired/resigned/whatever. I just wanna know what happened to this guys. He and EA have been very quiet since his posts were deleted.
As much as I don't want to side with this asshole, he's kind of right.
