Wow! I can't believe you guys are mocking the XBOX One™! Its an amazing system with games like Call Of Duty™ and EA Sports™!
Why don't we all just settle down and sit on the couch and play some Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC package 1 (first on the XBOX one)
Is this illegal somehow or something.
Sounds like it would be.
Probably not. I'm sure it's against the ToS on some websites though.
I very much believe they do this but I'm not sure how much I believe the guy's story. I read it all.
A ton of people bullshit on Reddit making throw away accounts all the time just to be on the front page. It's really pathetic.
I don't think a news article should go off of one claim over a day 1 old account with no sources other than that.
It's all speculation, like most of the threads about xbox one.
In the end the xbox one and ps4 will sell about the same amount of consoles, just like the current generation.
People forget fast.

Microsoft put their official features up on the website just yesterday, making all the rumors true. I don't think that's speculation.
I wanna be hired!
pay me 20 grand and i'll say things such as "XBOX ONE RULES, PS4 DROOLS"
Wow.

If your internet is down for 24 hours I would suggest switching ISP's.
Xbox live hardly ever is down. It isn't like PSN where it goes down once a month.
All the rumors on internet connection and used games were not completely correct.
It is stupid to speculate, when no one knows exactly what will happen.

I don't think you understand, they've literally came out and said that there's going to be cripped used games and always-on DRM

How do you keep saying it's speculation when it's on the official site.

And there is no rational need for it to connect, its starting with the assumption that everyone is a pirate and you have to be connected to their servers to prove otherwise.
And plenty of people can lose their internet for prolonged periods of time. A year ago a tornado messed up my area and destroyed most of the power and cable. We got our power back after a week but we didn't the cable back for another two weeks after that.
holy shit........................... marketing is real................................

PSN went down for 24 days because of hackers.
Know what pisses off hackers and makes them want to mess with you? Shitty DRM. Xbone launch day will be a disaster when nobody can get online and the minute it's fixed someone is either going to break in or simply DDOS the shit out of it to ruin everyone's day some more.
Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.
It is up to the game publisher if they want to enforce not allowing used games to be sold.
I'm saying that the 40 threads that were made based on websites just trying to get hits before xbox said what the policy was is speculation.

Parts of PSN comes down for maintenance all the time.
Do you really think a couple of extra checks for game consoles once every 24 hours is going to bog down xbox live? It is a huge service that has worked flawlessly for years.
It isn't simcity where ea had no clue what they were doing.
hey don't you be dodging my points boy

Sorry didn't see your post.
Pirating games has become extremely easy on xbox 360. Flashing your drive to play pirated games is pretty easy and even if you can't do it yourself someone would be willing to do it for you.
They feel like they need to protect developers and I don't blame them. If a system is locked down it will always get continued support.

I'm sure Microsoft weighed the pros and cons of it. I can't speak for them, but they decided it was necessary to check for connection.
They want every game to be connected in someway. Its unfortunate some people won't be able to play, but they decided it was necessary for what they in-visioned and how they plan on innovating in the future.
There is always other options as most games are cross platform between the ps4 and occasionally PC.
If they are they're doing a bad job, because I haven't seen one positive comment made.

Exactly, Xbox One brings you closer to the entertainment you
love and the people you care about. You can chat
with your friends on Skype while watching football
on TV. Or show off your best game highlights
instantly with Game DVR. And because Xbox One is
powered by the cloud, you won’t have to wait
around for game updates. It looks like the living room can finally start living up to its name.

Xbox One was built by gamers, for gamers. The perfect balance of power and
performance, Xbox One takes gaming to a whole new level. Stunning realism.
Advanced AI that adapts to the way you play. And a new generation of multiplayer
that is both smarter and faster. Xbox One is simply the best gaming console
we’ve ever made.
I don't know about you guys but I can't wait to make the upgrade into the next generation of entretainment! I feel excited hearing all about this "multitasking" and Bing integration!

• Redditor claims MS is astroturfing reddit.
• Press writes "article" saying redditor claims MS is astroturfing reddit.
• Redditor posts article to reddit as proof that MS is astroturfing reddit.
Have I missed anything?
Give it up dude. Just delete your account, even if you aren't a Microsoft employee, we all assume you are. So you are doomed either way.
Basically Reddit going into full witch-hunt hivemind mode.
I don't like the xbox one as much as the next guy but the circlejerk about it is reaching ultimate levels that are getting really really weird

You lie. Microsoft heretic.
Yes. When your internet is down or the servers are down, you can't play games. Everyone will forget that
you're forgetting though that the xbox's market is mostly made up of Lads™. your average Lad™ has:
1. never read a gaming website or magazine in his life
2. will not watch or hear about anything from E3
3. is likely, though, to have one mate who is slightly less of an official Lad™ and has managed to see E3 and will link them to FIFA and CoD trailers
at the end of the day, more Lads™ are gonna buy an xbox than a PS4. even if they realise they've been ripped off by a piece of shit always-online console, they still won't shell out the money for a PS4 because playstations are gay and for nerds
like that microsoft guy said a few days ago, 'hardcore gamers' will buy both consoles and all the Lads™ will buy the xbox... so microsoft wins

You just have to know when someone is being genuine, and when it's a shill. But it's hard to tell sometimes because these people are trained to act natural.
That's easy, if someone disagrees with me they're being paid or just trolling
People are just making shit up nowadays.
