No, I don't live there. But that doesn't change the fact that your popos drive tanks and kill innocent people every fucking week. If I'm totally wrong about my previous statement,
You are.
Care to elaborate? :) The one thing that made America great is being shat on, and all you can do is troll. But god forbid if they touch your internets, then all hell will break loose, right? edit: Oh you like in UK, you're already fucked so nvm.
America does not have militarized police units compared to Russia. The FSB is more or less a police unit, equivalent to the FBI.
-snip-
I don't know about you, but I don't see the police running around in tanks, randomly shooting the shit out of people. Nor do I see our rights being stripped away.
oh god help im being oppressed
You don't get it man! The police is going to kill you, and take away your weed!!!! Fight da powah!!! :420:
If you read through Kelju's posts you'll find out that he's a troll.
Naaaw, just messing with you, UK is fine. Me? Troll? No way man, you're the troll. I actually post my mind and talk about the matter at hand. You just try to make jokes 'bout some grammatical errors in the article.
No, I don't live there. But that doesn't change the fact that your popos drive tanks and kill innocent people every fucking week. If I'm totally wrong about my previous statement, tell me how much longer you will let your rights be stripped away one by one? Am I still such a sensationalist when someone you know gets wrongfully gunned down by someone who should actually be giving parking tickets, not run around with an assault rifle. ASSAULT. does that sound like a term used to protect the public? @eatdembeanz.. Getting prosecuted and going to jail for growing/smoking a flower doesn't sound even remotely STRANGE to you? @RBM.. I don't steal because it's unethical, not because I'm scared of the police. Fuck, you chums are the reason your govt WILL fuck you over, it's actually fucking you right now, getting deeper with every thrust of it's steaming member till it comes out of your mouth. And then it's too late. You don't even see the problem, for you do not want to admit it. As you would actually have to do something else than play your little games and surf the net all day. Have fun in your dystopian popo nation :downs:
Some Finnish kid using the term popo? Shut up, you don't even live in the U.S. so your 'facts' are wrong
Don't even give him the time of day to reply to what he has to say. It's just going to bring thread quality down to a flat 0%.

I'm an adult. And yes, we do call them popos here. We might actually get into some sensible arguments here, so keep going.
We might actually get into some sensible arguments here, so keep going.
I doubt it.
So, storming houses with guns blazing doesn't violate the fourth amendment?
So, storming houses with guns blazing doesn't violate the fourth amendment?
Not if they have due reason.
Im not going to say something stupid like "olololol police state, world order, 1984, metrocop hl2" But just the idea of Police getting a tank and military training worried me a bit. I mean it sounds like a great idea! Make our officers more prepared for shit to happen, It just makes me feel uncomfortable thinking about it.
What about all the times they do it to innocent people and actually hand out the warrant at the scene, after destroying property and causing psychological distress? :D And you're right to be a bit worried, you'll never know what will be illegal the next day. Hell, even trolling in facebook can land you in jail nowadays.
No, I don't live there. But that doesn't change the fact that your popos drive tanks and kill innocent people every fucking week.
It's already been explained that they aren't tanks, but APCs. And no, SWAT teams don't run around towns killing innocents and political dissidents all day.
If I'm totally wrong about my previous statement, tell me how much longer you will let your rights be stripped away one by one?
What, you mean the PATRIOT Act? Yeah, that's a load of bollocks but it's hardly "rights getting stripped away one by one". One act does not constitute that.
Am I still such a sensationalist when someone you know gets wrongfully gunned down by someone who should actually be giving parking tickets, not run around with an assault rifle.
Implying police should be giving out parking tickets rather than trying to stop violent crime? And yes, you are such a sensationalist when the situation of "SWAT teams gunning down innocents" hardly, if ever, happens.
You don't even see the problem, for you do not want to admit it. As you would actually have to do something else than play your little games and surf the net all day.
American citizens can't see it, but a guy from fucking FINLAND can? Might want to let me borrow your telescope, mate.
Have fun in your dystopian popo nation :downs:
Not even worth comment.
What about all the times they do it to innocent people
See these are typically called "mistakes". You must be familiar with them, what with being you being sensationalist and disestablishmentarian to the point of nauseau.
And you're right to be a bit worried, you'll never know what will be illegal the next day.Hell, even trolling in facebook can land you in jail nowadays.
Actually, yes I do know what will be illegal and what won't be, because every bill that's in or passed by Congress is available for reference.
I'd have less problems if the SWAT Team actually got their addresses right half the time
They do. They serve thousands upon thousands of warrants each year. And yet of them, you only hear a spare few failures. You never hear about successful police operations because they are commonplace. UNsuccessful or botched SWAT raids are news BECAUSE they are NOT commonplace.
I mean it sounds like a great idea! Make our officers more prepared for shit to happen, It just makes me feel uncomfortable thinking about it.
I think that's an understandable fear, but I think it's also important to remember that these organizations are trained as counter-terrorism units. They're almost more guerrilla-based than official, military-based.
Why would they kill the 7 year old girl FOR NOTHING?
You never hear about successful police operations because they are commonplace. UNsuccessful or botched SWAT raids are news BECAUSE they are NOT commonplace.
This especially. It's a very, very good thing when a SWAT team's headline mistake is killing a corgi. At least they haven't killed any people, practiced brutality, etc.
They're getting ready to stop the population from making a stand against the government. It really makes you think twice about protecting your constitutional rights when 12 people drive through your house and pop a cap in your ass while throwing nades at the baby crib and shooting your pets. Think about the power the American government has now when compared to the times of writing the constitution. No, it cannot even be compared, it's slowly becoming more obvious to the masses that this shit can't go on forever, but most still seem to think that it's for the greater good. "To serve and protect.." lol.
No, they aren't. This is what people don't understand about the police. Particularly police in the United States. SWAT teams are not federal agents. They are not even state agents usually. They are county/city level officers. They are effectively immune to grand conspiracies because they don't give a fuck and the Feds literally do not have the reach to affect them. It isn't their job. They aren't a part of some grand machine. They work for the city at exactly the same level of government as meter maids, firemen, and (for some areas) garbage men. Stop talking about shit that you don't even have the most rudimentary understanding of.
Why would they kill the 7 year old girl FOR NOTHING?
It's been a year, and I still don't know why. I'm guessing poor training - ?
It's been a year, and I still don't know why. I'm guessing poor training - ?
It seems so unneccesary. Flashbang, shoot innocent girl.
It seems so unneccesary. Flashbang, shoot innocent girl.
Using non-lethal grenades are pretty commonplace. But shooting the innocent girl, that can't be explained. At best, I'm guessing one of the members lost their wits because the area they were entering was different from briefing. I really can't say why, but I know most SWAT teams don't make these sort of mistakes.
What about all the times they do it to innocent people and actually hand out the warrant at the scene, after destroying property and causing psychological distress? :D And you're right to be a bit worried, you'll never know what will be illegal the next day. Hell, even trolling in facebook can land you in jail nowadays.
Oh no, not psychological distress! We would much prefer police get shot or every criminal gets away ever. I am completely in support of it being better to let a guilty man walk free, than to imprison an innocent man. It doesn't mean I am going to demand that officers needlessly risk their life because flashbangs and door rams are scary.
Arizona's toughest sheriff actually has a tank. It's black, though.
Not a Tank, Mobile Artillery Platform.
a tank is just any armoured vehicle with tracks, it doesn't have to have any sort of cannon on it. an Sd.Kfz. is technically a tank
SdKfz meant "Special Purpose Vehicle" and included much far more than just Tanks.
It doesn't mean I am going to demand that officers needlessly risk their life because flashbangs and door rams are scary.
Police officers probably shouldn't have guns either, because they scare people when they have to use them!!
