Lindemann is quite the mellow and smart fellow in private. It's hardrock for the masses. It's there to shock, not to offend. They wouldn't do it.

It is unconstitutional to desecrate national flag in Russia. While it is weird that the band was not allowed to perform in Russia after the incident in Ukraine, it is somewhat understandable.

It has nothing to do with unity. People can be feel a sense of unity via thousands of better, non-discriminating ways. While Patriotism is a lighter form of Nationalism, it is still pointless and dumb.
