There used to be a trend here where teenage girls would buy American flag shirts just so they could have the stars and stripes on ripped shorts
The new trend here is vertical union jacks, at least we're getting closer to the Aus flag, just need the Southern crosses and we'll be good

You cannot have both.

Why would they wear their military uniform to a group beating.
Why would they where their military uniform to a group beating.
80% of Russia probably wear military uniforms for the hell of it.
Did... did they really just 'whip' the American Flag? (see ~0:15 - 0:20)
Bahahahah!!
if this happened with an american flag there would probably be an uproar.
I'm sorry, but if someone from Russia came over here and put the American Flag into their pants; I would do little more than laugh and roll my eyes. It's a fucking flag! They didn't be-head a fellow countryman, they certainly didn't cause a legitimate problem, and i suffer nothing from it physically OR mentally. The country continues on, whether you feel the need to rub your nuts on the Flag or not.
To me it is on the same level as someone telling me Yo Momma jokes, except its "Yo Country".
[sp]And the world keeps turnin'...[/sp]
i know it pains you to hear this, but it is legal to fuck with the flag in america
This goes for every country in the world

Russian's are statistically more nationalistic, they aren't you statistically.
"Hey I'm on stage I could literally do anything to please the crowd let me just floss my ass with their flag"
What the hell is a culture minister? Sounds like something from Nazi Germany.

really?
really?
I guess its something equivalent to the United States' Secretary of the Interior? How do you "minister" culture?
Why would they wear their military uniform to a group beating.
These are not military. "Cossacks" - people who enjoy wearing stuff like this and believing they're actual Cossacks, as in, from XIX century.
Our government loves them.

Look at all these fascist states.
Lets get real.
Imagine the flak Rammstein would get if they did that with an American flag on a concert in America.
This wasn't a clever thing to do, at all.

I looked through the list on wikipedia and there is no entry for USA. I am sorry to tell you this, but USA may not have a culture :v:

Stepping on a flag is something a bit different than wiping your crotch and butt with it, live.
And it's even more different when it's somebody perceived as a stranger, and can be seen as a historical enemy.
Also, you just called Rammstein shitty, you have no clue man, you have no damn clue at all.
Yeah, how dare people be proud to be part of a country! Fucking morons, having some sense of unity is totally detrimental! :downs:
It is. There is nothing you can be proud of about a country. YOu can be proud of stuff you accomplished. What of the country you are born into can you be proud of?
They do shit like this all the time.

The difference is that Rammstein is the carefully and quite smartly crafted art-ish image of a band, everything they do is calculated and designed. Lindemann is quite the mellow and smart fellow in private. It's hardrock for the masses. It's there to shock, not to offend.
They wouldn't do it.
It is unconstitutional to desecrate national flag in Russia. While it is weird that the band was not allowed to perform in Russia after the incident in Ukraine, it is somewhat understandable.

I know, I love Rammstein, I just used them as explicit example of "that famous foreign band".
what a shit hole country. bloodhound gang forever! lol, surprised they are still around i thought they broke up or something once everyone from the 90s turned 15

the world will never be united as one because of patriotic values, closed borders equals closed minds
The Bad Touch is without any questions the best thing to play nonstop with all of the remixes and shit on New Years Eve

Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it.
It has nothing to do with unity. People can be feel a sense of unity via thousands of better, non-discriminating ways. While Patriotism is a lighter form of Nationalism, it is still pointless and dumb. Waving a flag around chanting something about how you're part of the greatest country is just retarded when the country next door is doing the exact same fucking thing.
It brings nothing but hatred to the table, and it breeds conflicts.
