UPDATED (MAR. 2, 2012) Important update to site rules & code of conduct : Effective immediately there is a zero tolerance policy on any form of abuse towards staff, moderators or other Community members.
Funny how they update this right as they lie to their fans.
how is it DLC if it's already on the disc? that's stupid.
good fuck you people are whiny bastards don't like it? don't BUY IT. nobody is forcing you. I've played ME3, still am, I still enjoy it even though yes, the endings are a tad silly, and there's day 1 dlc. but really IT DOESN'T FUCKING BOTHER ME BECAUSE GOD FORBID I DON'T GET A SQUADMATE AND A RIFLE, MAN, THAT SHIT'S TOTALLY OVER THE LIMIT.
Don't be such an egoist It may not bothered you, but it sure is bothering a lot of people, for multiple reasons.
Video Game companies need to stop treating there fan base and customers like idiots. There not fooling anyone and it only hurts them in the end.
Everyone dies in the end.
Everyone dies in the end.
EA dies first.
Don't be such an egoist It may not bothered you, but it sure is bothering a lot of people, for multiple reasons.
Mostly because it's a massive story point they've just decided to shave off the game and package it as DLC, I mean having a prothean as a companion is a little bit more important to the story than Zaeed.
So is EA now the gaming industry bad guy?
So is EA now the gaming industry bad guy?
Yeah, pretty much.
So is EA now the gaming industry bad guy?
No... they always were. Treat customers like retards, scam as much as you can from their feeble wallets, produce games than force them out early, get the initial dosh and go on to the next game, make tons of money.
So is EA now the gaming industry bad guy?
I'd probably say yes. Activision does release the same fucking game every 2 years, then gives additional map packs, but at least they're not singleplayer important DLC. Then, Activision sells their games on Steam, no problems, while EA set up their own system, and then they can outright ban you from playing your games. Then, after such a let down ending, I'd say they pressured Bioware to the point they couldn't even finish the game properly. I mean, even COD's repetitive AMERICA WINS FUCK YEAH ending was more satisfying than Mass Effect 3 conclusion. Then EA turned Mass Effect into a mainstream casual game so more people would play it. I didn't mind it that much during Mass Effect 2, but Mass Effect 3 got hit really hard. Then the multiplayer ties in the Singleplayer? Really? I'd say EA is my new example of a bad publisher. Ubisoft is close, and Activision, well, even if they don't give the gaming industry new stuff, they at least fulfill the needs of their fans correctly.
Video Game companies need to stop treating there fan base and customers like idiots. There not fooling anyone and it only hurts them in the end.
Are they really hurting themselves though? People still buy EA games. People still buy "DLC" even if it's included on the very disk they bought. People repeatedly, time and time again, buy into this shit and EA doesn't seem to be getting any weaker as a company. It would be brilliant if people were as wise to the problem as you claim they are, and it would be just as good if the apathy surrounding the situation was also gone but sadly I would have to say that you're entirely incorrect. At least for now. Maybe after this more people will wise up but I somewhat doubt that.
EA is the new Ubisoft
Whoa that's going a bit too far buddy
Whoa that's going a bit too far buddy
Yeah, Ubisoft was the new EA way back when. This is more of a... Return to form, if you will.
who cares if you want the dlc buy it, its like chocolate chips or nuts on a icecream sunday
I predict that after the dlc, there will be a Mass Effect 4 which has nothing to do with the orignal trilogy! Where have I heard a similar story... OH YEAH, HALO 4. Then again none of the halo games are good, but mass effect 1 and 2 are pretty much flawless. I haven't played 3 so I don't know whether it's just the ending that disappoints.

Cite your sources because I'm pretty sure that everything I've read and watched on the internet about Halo 4 showed nothing but Master Chief.

But I think EA's shenanigans is going to catch up with them in trying to develop origin as a platform.
just wait until its "1$ to unlock the next level"
I guess they put the day 1 dlc on the disc do you don't have to download it after..?
btw isn't it already technically legal for you to unlock this "DLC" because you've paid in full for a disc and that gives you legal right to the data on it for personal home use? Akin to it being legal to burn a DVD you own if once again it's for personal home use. Something to do with rights over bought products and therefore they can't legally restrict part of the stuff you bought?
just wait until its "1$ to unlock the next level"
Soon we'll be paying a dollar every time we die... no wait that already existed.
I guess they put the day 1 dlc on the disc do you don't have to download it after..?
This isn't even an argument in favour of the practice. I wish people would stop saying this as if it justifies it. Why didn't they just give it to you as part of the rest of the game (like it damn well should be) if it's already on the disk, hm? Plus, I believe they claimed that it was made after the game had gone gold, which would mean that it shouldn't be on the disk at all and yet it is, meaning they clearly lied.
And you have to buy stuff on the multiplayer to get the good gear? What the fuck.
clearly you haven't played the MP because you get one (or two if you have BF3) packs free that come with either a weapon or character, and you earn credits to buy new packs after each game.
clearly you haven't played the MP because you get one (or two if you have BF3) packs free that come with either a weapon or character, and you earn credits to buy new packs after each game.
Then I will withdraw my statement. I haven't played the MP, no interest into it.

Just an FYI, the "license" to play the game shit isn't even acknowledge in courts. If you bought something, you own it and no amount of bullshit EULA blabber can change that.
