just like our brave military defends themselves in guantanemo every day!
somehow i'm not surprised that you've managed to compare a disenfranchised racial group to an oppressive, self-interested military regime.
Alright bud get the fuck off the Army's back until you've served. IMHO if you haven't served in it, don't comment about it, whether said comments are good or bad it does not matter.
i cant even express what a dumb thing to say this is
not to mention the good or bad part. AS IF you would be giving him shit if he said something like "support the troops!"
Alright bud get the fuck off the Army's back until you've served. IMHO if you haven't served in it, don't comment about it, whether said comments are good or bad it does not matter.
Yea, because the torture of suspected terrorists is something I should take part in?
To bad it's cited from a book.
...but it's not a direct quote from the mouth of Newton, so my point still stands.
i never said the black panthers were all peaches and roses but the understanding most of you and most of america has of them is dead wrong.
Alright bud get the fuck off the Army's back until you've served. IMHO if you haven't served in it, don't comment about it, whether said comments are good or bad it does not matter.
those soldiers fought and gave for your right to not question them.
somehow i'm not surprised that you've managed to compare a disenfranchised racial group to an oppressive, self-interested military regime.
Torture is fucking torture NO MATTER who does it. ANYONE who tortures another human being deserves ABSOLUTELY no sympathy.
THEY WERE JUST DEFENDING THEMSELVES!

this is probably the dumbest thing i've ever seen on facepunch
its not a direct citation though. he could have easily said "i killed him" and Wikipedia translator just used "murder" instead
my friend on steam is looking it up though, hes got the book

Newton boasted to close friend and sociobiologist Robert Trivers that he deliberately killed John Frey and never regretted it. Newton made the same claim to another friend, Willie Payne, just before Newton was murdered.
Deliberately killing someone is murder.
I don't give a fuck if they are a disenfranchised racial group. They are despicable human beings.
Torture is fucking torture NO MATTER who does it. ANYONE who tortures another human being deserves ABSOLUTELY no sympathy.
and this is relevant because-
Lankist is completely right in what he is saying.
Anyone seriously creating a equivalency between the (Old) Black Panthers and the KKK are fucking retarded and I swear if you'd say that to my face I'd send you flying into orbit. Holy shit, go read a history book. If you people had any idea of the context in which the Panthers operated and what they actually did you'd fucking admire them. These people didn't fucking go around causing misery with lynching, murders, fireboming, etc.
Instead of herp-derping and using wikipedia as a historical source, how about you go to a library and make up your mind by actually looking for facts that are more than a few broad words on the internet.
Ugh, see, this is why I never look too much at comments on the internet. I feel like I'm getting trolled by a fat sweating nerd in a man-diaper spouting "UMAD BRO UMAD BRO UMAD BRO" over and over again.
Fuck.
Deliberately killing someone is murder.
No it isn't.
Murder is a type of deliberate homicide, but deliberate homicide is not invariably murder.
Shooting someone in self defense is deliberate homicide.
Many variations upon manslaughter are deliberate homicide.
Murder 1 is malicious, premeditated homicide.
Murder 2 is malicious homicide.
Manslaughter is everything else.
It's hilarious to post an article about the KKK but majority of the thread is about the Black Panthers :v:
Deliberately killing someone is murder.
tryin to stay neutral
if you were minding your own business and got attacked by some dude then killed him and said you did it deliberately, that wouldn't make it murder
i'm not saying that's what happened but to be fair the entire incident revolves around what could easily be a bad choice of words by the wiki author (not to mention the deliberately killing part isnt a direct quote either)
and this is relevant because-
A comparison between a torturer and a torturer is valid no matter who those torturers work for.
It's hilarious to post an article about the KKK but majority of the thread is about the Black Panthers :v:
ITT white privilege gets offended because the KKK gets all the flak.
A comparison between a torturer and a torturer is valid no matter who those torturers work for.
What torturer?
You were talking about someone who committed manslaughter.

What did your friend with the book say?
Lankist is completely right in what he is saying.

I'm sure you would.

I don't admire people who storm buildings with guns to protest a law, or hold them while screaming about killing people, and I defiantly don't admire people who openly admit to killing people.
Instead of herp-derping and using wikipedia as a historical source, how about you go to a library and make up your mind by actually looking for facts that are more than a few broad words on the internet.
Wikipedia includes sources to the things they reference. So it isn't like they pull bullshit comments out of no where to troll people.
ITT white privilege gets offended because the KKK gets all the flak.
No, because Lazor had to go and imply that the Black Panthers weren't a bunch of two bit racist pieces of shit.
FYI guys, there is a reason citing Wikipedia will get you thrown out of any academic community this side of DeVry.
And what the fuck the quote I posted was snipped, so I can't say who the torturer was.
No, because Lazor had to go and imply that the Black Panthers weren't a bunch of two bit racist pieces of shit.
That's because they weren't.
You don't know a god damn thing about the Civil Rights Movement. All you know is from fucking Wikipedia.
No, because Lazor had to go and imply that the Black Panthers weren't a bunch of two bit racist pieces of shit.
oh, you thought i was implying it?
the black panthers weren't racist in any sense of the word.
now i've outright said it
And what the fuck the quote I posted was snipped, so I can't say who the torturer was.
then stop accusing people of dumb shit if you can't even remember the name of the person you were talking about three minutes ago.
Jesus Christ you must have the memory of a gnat.
ITT white privilege gets offended because the KKK gets all the flak.
No, Lazor got offended the Black Panthers were mentioned once in the article and everyone flipped on his remarks.
No one is defending the KKK, they're just trying to argue that the Black Panthers deserve just as much lack of defense.

When you boast to someone that you deliberately KILLED someone. It's murder. He was charged with Voluntary manslaughter. But voluntary manslaughter is where you suddenly murdered someone without any thought to it. Deliberately killing something requires for-thought, which makes it murder.
I don't admire people who storm buildings with guns to protest a law, or hold them while screaming about killing people, and I defiantly don't admire people who openly admit to killing people.
yes black people should have just sat back and dealt with it while they were being lynched and burned alive.
I don't think you quite fucking understand how persecution works.
That's because they weren't.
You don't know a god damn thing about the Civil Rights Movement. All you know is from fucking Wikipedia.
Al Qaeda isn't a religious fundamentalist group either. They are just freedom fighters and disenfranchised individuals. Just like the Taliban and Black Panthers.
What did your friend with the book say?
can't find anything but he might have the wrong book/version, we're admittedly terrible at researching citations
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huey_P._Newton#Fatal_shooting_of_John_Frey
found this though

Are you fucking serious right now?
