Spain was using white history as an example of how violence does not mean an entire group is the scum of the Earth. To cite a conversation I had with him elsewhere: The Founding Fathers had slaves and were generally dickish about race. That does not make them evil. Nor does looking intimidating or being violently defensive make the Black Panthers evil. He was literally saying the opposite of what you think he was saying: that history is not as simple as "X is evil, Y is good." Don't take shit out of context to justify your crazy bullshit persecution complex.
