iirc the dude was payed to skew results and really the only thing that's his fault is the fact that somebody REALLY wanted skewed results to back up his point
that seems more like his fault to me, clearly he had a choice in this on whether or not to do it
He tried to give himself a shot against the idiocy virus, but it was already too late.
Good riddance.
Yeah this isn't Wakefield.
Yeah if I were directly responsible for so much potential suffering and death, much less a possibility of global pandemic, I'd kill my self too. rip scumbag.
He wasn't responsible for it, parents of children choose to believe that vaccines will hurt their children. He may have just been innocent and saw a correlation by chance of autistic children or something who got more vaccines, this is sad and he probably took his life as his career was over and he was absolutely publicly humiliated.
This mans legacy is something that has caused a huge uproar
I would feel terrible
He did it to discredit a vaccine manufacturer to promote his own agenda, which was sponsored by a competing vaccine manufacturer, and instead caused permanent damage and distrust to the medical field.
Not saying he should have killed himself, but he didn't exactly do much good with his life
He was a scientist who tried to figure out what causes autism, and everyone who is cheering for his death is disgusting

When you do all you can to discredit vaccines for vague resons and with questionable proof, and ALSO practice homoeopathy, then you're cruising for a bruising.
Are you sympathising with him because he's dead now?
His legacy still makes him a scumbag.
There was once a thread on here about how hitler had a mental breakdown before he committed suicide, and everyone was rating friendly and shit.
Facepunch'll sympathize with anything

Of course we will fucking sympathize with a lost life.
Regardless of his actions, this is still a life lost and whether you like it or not, a valuable one at that. Regardless of his false studies and publications - humans make mistakes. We all do. Lucky for you, you are not under the microscope of the world.
Suicide is not something to be taken lightly or to celebrate over. This was a skilled man with years of education and studies, and a valuable life has been lost.
The conspiracy wackos are going to jump on this and claim he was assassinated by big-pharma any second now.
Suicide by gunshot to the chest seems very very strange honestly(im not saying Big Pharma killed him) in fact id put it over just a regular person vs any company. Someone mad at him.
That said, he IS a doctor so maybe instead of completely fucking up his entire head, he thought of stuff like his funeral and instead shot himself in a lethal spot in the chest so he wouldnt look as fucked. Thats my guess.

Even Hitler had a family and friends you know... not that he didn't deserve to die, but that's a WAY different topic. Those people were being purely naive.
This guy is no Hitler, the contrast absolutely isn't even close. People sympathizing with this doctor isn't that crazy at all.
It's disgusting how people are jumping on this bandwagon, looking at his death like it's good. Vaccines didn't even work in the US this year, everyone I know who took them got sick, no one I know who didn't take them got sick. Literally, that's exactly how it went. Propaganda works well even on the smartest.
boiling grass with the dog shit still on it and drinking it works way better then these vaccines anyways

"Actual statistics are meaningless because scientists make them up. You should listen to me because i know i guy"

going to have to ask for reliable and peer-reviewed sources pal

The flu vaccine is not the vaccine were talking about and those people didn't become autistic

Vaccines dont always work. This should be known by now. They just help your chances out on not getting sick.

"A few people I know got sick from vaccines, this disproves all medical and scientific data on the issue!" - You
:downs:
As a reminder, anecdotal evidence is worth shit when we're talking about something as large and far-reaching as vaccines.
Sad he's dead, glad he's gone.

Look at this guy, acting like sympathy is bad. Yeah just suppress those natural human emotions and replace them with rage and satisfaction over a lost life. Yeah Hitler sucked, yeah this doctor sucked, but what is gained with their deaths? Does Hitler's death reverse the holocaust? Does this doctor's suicide bring back the people who died from not getting vaccines? Why go to the effort to ignore the regular human response of sympathy for no gain?
I'm gonna go with assassinated. Shot yourself in the chest? Plausible if you want to keep your head intact but still a little fishy.

Not trying to disprove your point, I agree, but it was just too damn funny.

be sure to use that image on other sites because it would be super funny me to see if I get someone using that to shit on me years down the road :v:

make sure you edit the "he deserved to die" part though

If someone is a terrible murdering person like Hitler than I could hardly consider that a life worth mourning.
Yeah if I were directly responsible for so much potential suffering and death, much less a possibility of global pandemic, I'd kill my self too. rip scumbag.
I mean he was a bit of an idiot to make such a ridiculous claim but I don't think it means he's a terrible guy that deserves to kill himself. I would blame more the people that perpetuate the idea and give him credibility by repeating what he says.
Not all of you are, but I think a couple of you are confusing this guy with Andrew Wakefield.
He was a scumbag, don't get me wrong, but he was by no means the man responsible for the widespread disbelief.
If someone is a terrible murdering person like Hitler than I could hardly consider that a life worth mourning.
Yeah, we're not talking about Hitler here, we're talking about Dr. Jeff Bradstreet.
I was actually in Chimney Rock the day they pulled his body out of the water. Couldn't figure out what was going on, til I saw investigators and coroner come in.
Really sad. His legacy might be a broken road, but he was a skilled individual.
Curious if he found something wrong with his research and that's what caused him to kill himself. Kinda strange for a shot to the chest though

I think his suicide actually has something to do with the FDA raiding his office for medical supplies a few days earlier (correct me if I'm wrong)

Never heard anything of this, so I couldn't correct you. Still very interesting case.
