I was in a 5.2 in 2008, quite a weird feeling.
The face he makes goes with everything
I forgot to set my alarm clock last night so I think I can forgive mother nature this time.
I didn't feel anything to be honest

It's scary when something like an earthquake strikes with no warning. Thankfully, the building codes are stricter now, but I wonder how much would be destroyed. (old buildings, shotty construction, etc...)
I didn't feel anything to be honest
This post was necessary
Funny to see them instantly start reporting on what just happened to them
there appears to be a warm liquid running down my leg and into my shoe. more on this at 10.
It's scary when something like an earthquake strikes with no warning.
That's one of the few things I like about living in Florida. The only natural disaster Florida commonly gets are hurricanes, but you have days to prepare for it, if it even hits.
christs sake

People in SoCal are really scared of whenever an earthquake happens because you don't know if its the "Big One" that would be 8+.
"There was a bit of a delay from when you felt it and we felt it." Um...no shit. It takes time for things travel, even continents.
You guys consider a 4.4 a strong earthquake? Pffffttt
Why would you even think that LA would consider a 4.4 a strong earthquake. I didn't even wake up to feel it
So what will you guys do when a magnitude 8 earthquake occur? Where will you hide?

Now we're prepared for anything except Yellowstone erupting and sinking us into the ocean
So what will you guys do when a magnitude 8 earthquake occur? Where will you hide?
Go under a metal desk or under a door frame.
And if you want a really good one. Listen to that boom.
This one is fucking terrifying. [editline]n[/editline] There's a part where you can literally see the ground splitting open and water bubbling up as an artificial island is being damaged/destroyed.
Go under a metal desk or under a door frame.
No, you have to make yourself look bigger than the earthquake.
So what will you guys do when a magnitude 8 earthquake occur? Where will you hide?
I won't hide because I'm not a pussy I'll just run out and fight the fucking thing with me bear hands

Could Los Angeles be damged by 'the big one'? i hate stuff like this i was planning on going through LA to san diego comic con in a few years.
Could Los Angeles be damged by 'the big one'? i hate stuff like this i was planning on going through LA to san diego comic con in a few years.
Absolutely. Most of Los Angeles (and California in general really) isn't built to handle an earthquake like they're expecting which is why there's so much concern over it. It would be like Northridge all over again for many of the buildings and infrastructure.
I've never felt an earthquake in my life.
I've only experienced one earthquake here in Norway.

I was like COOOOL. It was the last big one Earliest memory
I was still an infant at the time of the Northridge earthquake, but my parents said I slept right through that shit. Didn't wake up until well after the shaking had stopped and my mom had scooped me up.
You guys consider a 4.4 a strong earthquake? Pffffttt
An earthquake is an earthquake. If you are used to 4 or 5, it's another thing. It isn't something to be proud.
I remember i was sitting in my chair watching tv with my mates when an earthquake started everything was shaking. Nothing big just enough to knock things off of the shelf's and none of us gave a fuck and kept watching tv.
