My Droid Incredible gets warm enough for me to feel it in my pocket, and that's TWO cores, this thing'll probably burn your house down!
Now now.
The processor is made by ARM, not Nvidia.
ARM is a type of processor. Nvidia makes the Tegra series of ARM processors.
This would be the perfect phone for Ubuntu.
Shitloads of internal storage for all your media, enough processing power to actually run the software and when docked, it can be charged rapidly.
I am all for more resolution but this is getting out of hand. Like said above most pcs still have 1920x1200 screens. And a 2560x1600 monitor is the highest a consumer can buy. Its funny how portable devices are superseeding computer screens in resolutions now. 1280x720 should be the max resolutions for phones. More isnt really needed. I can hardly make out any pixels on my iphone 4 i wonder how a 2560x1440 phone screen would look like.
Why would you need a screen that small with that high of resolution?
Pepper;39171125']Only thing is, ARM chips are piss weak compared to a proper desktop CPU.
I'm quite aware of that, which makes this all the more ridiculous.
Why not focus on creating more efficient architectures rather than just cram more cores on?
Power consumption is not linear. I know nothing about this stuff but maybe 8 cores at 1/8 of the running time takes less power than one core .
Meanwhile, 17 inch laptops with 1366x768 displays.
Meanwhile, everyone buys laptops with said displays

Meanwhile, almost nobody makes anything else.
