it's because the corporations have their hands in law makers pockets. We'd be better off with laissez faire economics than we are now.
the reason we're in this situation is because corporations force law makers to let them do what they want, so the solution is to just let corporations do what they want???
k we're obviously all too stupid if we know that Ron Paul has had a pro-life and anti-gay marriage congressional record
Could I get some voting evidence please?
i have sex pretty often, i certainly wouldn't want abortion to become illegal. letting the states deal with it sounds far better to me than preaching for a non-existent candidate who will make abortion legal nation-wide
Roe v. Wade.
the reason we're in this situation is because corporations force law makers to let them do what they want, so the solution is to just let corporations do what they want???
No the way to solve this is stop fucking with them. When they can't afford to keep going, don't bail them out. Remove all these laws that make corporations people, and all that bull shit. Go completely hands off.
really? okay, so what will solve the nation's debt crisis? because whatever the fuck is being done right now isn't helping
the debt isn't going to be paid till the economy starts to work again.
i have sex pretty often, i certainly wouldn't want abortion to become illegal. letting the states deal with it sounds far better to me than preaching for a non-existent candidate who will make abortion legal nation-wide
that's nice, i'm glad you have sex pretty often. too bad ron paul wants a nation-wide ban on abortion.
No the way to solve this is stop fucking with them. When they can't afford to keep going, don't bail them out. Remove all these laws that make corporations people, and all that bull shit. Go completely hands off.
Holy shit how many more times does it need to be said. The bailouts were done in response to the banks collapsing, not as a regulatory measure. The watered-down regulations that were affected by the big banks and corporations giving money to the regulators is what caused the problem. You are eating right out of the Republican hand by accepting that nonsense without doing research yourself. They want less regulation so they can do this again because when America's economy collapses, they come out exponentially richer.
the debt isn't going to be paid till the economy starts to work again. that's nice, i'm glad you have sex pretty often. too bad ron paul wants a nation-wide ban on abortion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctity_of_Life_Act
From his own website:
At the same time, Ron Paul believes that the ninth and tenth amendments to the U.S. Constitution do not grant the federal government any authority to legalize or ban abortion. Instead, it is up to the individual states to prohibit abortion.
http://www.ronpaul.com/on-the-issues/abortion/
From his own website: http://www.ronpaul.com/on-the-issues/abortion/
i would uh, trust the voting record more than his website. did you miss the link to the Sanctity of Life Act i'm pretty sure i posted it...
And there goes the sane Republican!
i would uh, trust the voting record more than his website. did you miss the link to the Sanctity of Life Act i'm pretty sure i posted it...

The Sanctity of Life Act further would have recognized that each state has authority to protect the lives of unborn children residing in the jurisdiction of that state.
Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly, but that still would give jurisdiction to the states, correct?
Well, at least Colbert is still in the race. I was actually hoping they would pick Huntsman. Out of all of them, he was definitely the most level headed.
Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly, but that still would give jurisdiction to the states, correct?
no it means that not only does the federal government have the right to establish that life begins at conception, it also means that each state has the authority to make abortion illegal IE "Protect the lives of unborn children".
Jesus fuck Garry Johnson needs to pick up his awareness I mean all the student'd vote for him in a jiffy if any of them actually knew who he was.
no it means that not only does the federal government have the right to establish that life begins at conception, it also means that each state has the authority to make abortion illegal IE "Protect the lives of unborn children".
Right, it gives them the authority to make abortion illegal-- that would imply that they have the option to enforce an anti abortion stance, not a responsibility to do so.
I like how everyone predicted a long and difficult race for Romney, and now everyone is dropping the race
Ron Paul has a legitimate standpoint minus the racist stuff. Just because he's on the opposite end of the spectrum doesn't mean he's an idiot as you guys love to make him out to be. And if you're all too stupid to notice the reason Ron Paul is going all social conservative this year is because he's trying to EXCITE THE BASE. Look at his fucking voting record, he's never voted for any of that bullshit.
He's an idiot for wanting to go back on the gold standard
He's an idiot for wanting to go back on the gold standard
Not to mention letting states decide rights like he wants will inevitably go bad. I mean, you see all these state governors doing dumb things in this very subforum, and just think - these are the guys you'll have deciding people's rights.
Jesus fuck Garry Johnson needs to pick up his awareness.
Who?
Who?
Like, everything you guys want in a candidate. Though I've heard he's got a somewhat retarded stance on education, everything else is top-notch! Look he even looks like a normal person [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8d/Garyjohnsonphoto_-_modified.jpg/242px-Garyjohnsonphoto_-_modified.jpg[/thumb]
I consider myself crazy far left. I think the Democrats are too "right", but hell, I liked Huntsman. I disagree with a significant portion of his economic policy, BUT he was an intelligent and well reasoned candidate. He has the foreign policy experience, particularly with China, he said the republican party couldn't afford to ignore science, he's adopted a child from China and speaks fluent mandarin, among all the warmongering talk during the debates he was the only one to say any conflict with China is an economic and not military one, and he never took a particularly extreme view for or against major issues. Huntsman, while a conservative, actually appealed to me. At the end of the day it's sad to see a very solid candidate lose out to absolutely batshit insane ones.

Or some other important position. Just like when Biden gave up his run for President in 2008.

There's no "This is perfect" or "This will destroy everything".

There's no "This is perfect" or "This will destroy everything".
Half the States in the Union will vote ridiculous shit into law if that occurs. Even without Ron Paul in office, many States in more rural regions have limited abortion to unprecedented levels. Didn't Mississipi have the 'Personhood Amendment' or some shit? We cannot trust States to determine our rights.
Normally I have some knowledge on who the candidates are, but this year I haven't really gave much of a shit. I don't even know who's still running. Oh well.
Normally I have some knowledge on who the candidates are, but this year I haven't really gave much of a shit. I don't even know who's still running. Oh well.
Their names don't really matter so much. There's one dude who's pretty much crazy so you can ignore him, there's another dude who's crazy but occasionally says things that you might possibly agree with if you're drunk, some dumb bitch who stopped existing recently, and an old racist dude who's going to fuck America's shit up hard that 50% of people here support. Also, black dude. Pretty much a full guide to every election ever, really.
So Obama doesn't have any policies at all or plans? He's just a black dude?
Of course he does. In fact, he's exactly the person I'd vote for if I had a citizenship. It's specifically why I didn't go into detail that he sounds the most appealing.
i have sex pretty often, i certainly wouldn't want abortion to become illegal. letting the states deal with it sounds far better to me than preaching for a non-existent candidate who will make abortion legal nation-wide
Bitches better be wearin' them jimmy hats
