Are you playing on hard? Charging them got me killed pretty fast, I might just suck though.
Yes. But as soon as I run after them, they stop attacking me for some reason. Its like they are running for their lives.
I haven't played much yet, but one particular scene full on left me with my jaw hanging open.
Just another shit goes to hell, I walk around a corner, one scientist is in a airvent, getting pulled in by his legs thanks to a zombie inside, another scientist standing on a stepladder holding his hands.
The second scientist loses his grip, the first is pulled inside with the zombie.
The second scientist recoils backwards from letting go, falls backwards doing a full spin and faceplants on the ground, followed by the ladder tipping over, and the top rung landing on his neck and killing him.
Blood and gibs of the first scientist are then fired out of the airvent all over him.
Was in shock for a moment
I saw a dead scientist in front some urinals, and one of them and sprung a leak on him. Poetic justice.

Every time I try that they flip over something and I don't see where they go :c
Alright, so this is pretty much the first time I've beaten Half-Life, since I got stuck in the first one and couldn't be bothered to try and beat it. That is such a cliffhanger with the ending portal sequence!
In the sequence where you have to go through the teleporters you will eventually end up at a room with a barney and two scientists. Behind you there is a ladder which leads down into a dead end corridor and in the corner on a shelf there is a purple top hat.
Actually, I got the hat from the yellow shipping container in the large warehouse room, the second Assassin fight sequence. I then had to carry it to the end, including through the infamous teleporter sequence. [sp]It was really hard and I quicksave/loaded like 50k times to do it[/sp]

people kept taking screenshots of that going all "lol what the hell was going on here??"
but they fail to see the bullet holes on the wall because of the bright light nearby and don't realize he was just shot to death like the rest of them
HNNNNG I'm installing BM right now. Can't fucking wait!

If you've never beaten it before, then xen will be a real treat for you.
Just beat it on Hard mode.
Well damn, I appreciate that they eliminated the threat of the aliens killing the doctor as he opens the portal. It's hard enough surviving that as it is.
Still though, that means you can just hide out in the staircase leading from the floor of the teleporter and kill controllers as they float overhead until he tells you to go. Then, just run like a bastard for the teleporter. Strangely simple, but I almost wonder if the devs expect it of you. I mean, those waves of baddies are ridiculously difficult to survive. Even using the gluon gun the whole time and vaporizing fuckers doesn't keep you from getting flanked by vorts.
I am stuck at the part where you have to press "Fire" after turning on oxy/fuel and nothing happens, the button makes a sound and the tentacles are still there slamming the silo..

Maybe you should turn on the power too. Might help.
Maybe you should turn on the power too. Might help.
Yeah, that got me too. It took me a second to realize there's a power status light.
After playing Half-Life 1 and Black Mesa Source, I have realised any scientist standing near a vent will die.

anyone near a vent will die
it's just way too common in horror, unless you're freeman or other talented hero, stay the hell away from vents in the Apocalypse.
That thing where the giant fan blows you up into the vents was really making my head hurt until I noclipped and saw they all just teleported you.
Dunno how many other people do it, but when the action music kicks in, I disregard being careful and sniping with the 357, and just sprint out going nuts with the machine gun.
Also when I got to the part where you launch the rocket into space, one of the soldiers admitted that he was in it for killing monsters and that only, and he was upset with having to kill innocents.
I like how Black Mesa manages to make the cascade rather sad, since the game plays dramatic music as you first see the scientist trying to help the dying guard.
You know what sucks? In HL1, the scientist eventually manages to resuscitate the guard. IN BMS, the guard stays dead :c

Not if you manage to kill the scientist.
