I can only speak for Poland, to be fair. I don't know if I can say they hate Muslims, but the tolerance towards them (and various other things commonly accepted in western countries like homosexuality and such) certainly is on a very low level.
Also I obviously wasn't referring to the whole country, just the nationalist-minded people, of whom we sadly have quite a few.
Aren't Polish people just quite opposed to immigration of any kind?
"All Koran prayers are terrorists".

Probably some shit along the lines of "this is the first step of the muslimization of europe" or some other fucking retarded shit like this.
I consider myself a nationalist in many ways and this is not my response to these news. I think it's a good thing. Besides, what has some gas trade to do with "the muzlimation of europe" anyway.
And another thing, Iran standing up against the imperial machine of the United States counts a lot for me, and it should for other true nationalists too. And by true nationalists I mean the ones who don't just believe nationalism equals to "anti-islamisation of Europe".

This is why everyone hates america.
In Iran, homosexuality is punishable by death. They have frequently jail journalists and bloggers. They are not better than Russia. Heck, they even have their own Russia Today.

If turkey and georgia eventaully get accession in the eu and strong economic ties develop between iran and the EU i wouldn't even be surprised if iran got accepted into the eu(if, in the forseable future russia also developed it's own plan for a supernational union wich now only includes russia, belarus and khazakhstan and is due to launch in 2015, with free trade and free movement of labour force like in the eu).
Honestly, they deserve a break. I think iran hasn't attacked a country in hundreds of years and yet it still fought gruesome wars to defend itself against saddam's iraq, and has been under trade embargo for years.Besides, i think their people have roots in what is now s-e ukraine, and have the closest cultural ties to europe of all the middle eastern countries(even surpassing turkey).
Their now villified ayatollah has been a longstanding exile in paris for years before returning to participate in the iranian revolution.
Religion is not a problem btw, eu and the west are doing great in their relation with the arabic peninsula states. I think Iran also shares the same islamic branch of religion as countries like saudi arabia/uae.
Sounds like a conciliatory gesture to me.
Here's hoping it doesn't get thrown back in their faces.

yeah, but integrating them with europe is the way to help fix that
