Time for another Civil War over Black People - Obama Now Forced to Address Texas Secession Bid; Sece

I'm down.
To the Atlantic!
Also, I think Washington D.C. needs to secede from the union, just so we can see what the fuck would happen.
It's not even a state.
I'm totally okay with the south splitting. They can start their own wars now, while us Yanks in the north are left to concentrate on actual issues.

But the secession of Texas alone would be a pretty big hit to the economy. Imagine if the entire "south" left.
As much as you may dislike the southern states, America needs them.
why do 25,000 dipshits get to speak for the 25,000,000 people who live there
that's how government normally works (except in this case it's not the official dipshits)

I get what you're saying, but Texas is only like 1/16 of the GDP.
We'd take some hit, but we'd be completely fine.

Actual issues, like gay marriage and abortion. :downs:
Actual issues, like gay marriage and abortion. :downs:
Just progressing human rights, science, knowledge, humanity, things like that.
Actual issues, like gay marriage and abortion. :downs:
Abortion prevents debt and lowers crime rates.
Prove me wrong.
Seriously, when I think of what would happen to Texas if it were to secede, all I can think of is Fisher Stevens in Hackers. "The little boat flipped over."
Abortion prevents debt and lowers crime rates.
Prove me wrong.
Woah, Nikota, while you are right on this issue, you know full well how the Burden of Proof works.

Where did I say I care and/or am pro-life? It's hilarious though how liberals only care about insignificant non-issues like this.

is this a joke lmao
"Time for another civil war over black people"
Nice job playing the liberal race card, OP. Apparently treating blacks like everyone else is "racist" now.
I actually vote Republican and I voted against Obama.
Where did I say I care and/or am pro-life? It's hilarious though how liberals only care about insignificant non-issues like this.
Abortion isn't a non-issue. Its an issue of the rights of women across the country. Hardly a non-issue.

He is a facist.

Texas equals 1/4 of the oil though.

Economy in shambles, trillions in debt, massive unemployment, healthcare collapsing, Middle East in turmoil, constant violations of our civil liberties, and a divided, partisan America; but who cares? So long as gays can get married and I get to keep my Obama-phone, right?
yes

Hardly any violation of civil liberties, and the Economy is way better then it was 4 years ago. The middle east shouldn't be any of our business and it's been in turmoil since the Persian empire collapsed, unemployment is quite low compared to most other countries, spain comes to mind.
And sorry to shatter your world view, but America has been divided on party lines for over 160 years.

what a fatalistic way to put things

All of that, its all correct and not at all an idiotic and gross misrepresentation of everything going on in the country as a whole and basically a crime against reality.
And um. I don't get to say this every day.
But Congress is semi competent in it's ability to focus on more than one issue at a time.

Oh really? How about gun control, the NDAA, Patriot Act, the Anti-Protest Bill, warrantless wiretapping, and the extrajudicial killing of American citizens? Also, America is more partisan now than it has been in over a hundred years.
The economy is still crumbling and heading towards another recession, especially now that Hussein Obama got re-elected. Despite what MSNBC might tell you, the rest of the world does exist and we need to be watching closely. Though Obama is more worried about his next appearance on Oprah than America's dwindling influence abroad. "Official" unemployment still around 8 percent and we all know that actual unemployment is much higher. More Americans are living off the government now more than ever.

I read this in Sean Hannity's voice.

I'm only going to address your last comment, and I have to agree with that. Mainly because more Americans are using roads now more then ever.

First of all, what is the "Actual" unemployment, since you seem to have such keen insight? Second, what has he actually done to make gun control worse? As I recall, a number of regulations were actually relaxed under his administration. The NDAA literally had to happen, there was nothing that could be done about it, and everyone with half of a brain cell knows it. The Patriot Act (And the whole wiretapping thing) have been an ongoing issue since Bush's first term. What Anti-Protest bill? Also, the killings thing has been a very muddy issue at best and has again been in practice since Bush's first term.
The economy is far better than it has been and is still going up, and would be going faster if the GOP would stop cock-blocking everything Obama supports just to try to ruin him. They made it very clear that this was exactly what they wanted to do was block everything so they could say he had been a failure of a president. Blame your precious Republicans. Also, seriously, "Hussein Obama"? Why not just "Obongo Bin-Laden" and be done with it? America's influence is unshaken, its just as strong as it has always been, we've just not been as massively arrogant and pushy as we have in the past.
And the issue of more American's using social safety measures is the result of multiple issues. First of all, we are coming out the worst economic crisis since the great depression (something that takes more than six months to resolve, just to point out), which impacted every American in the world. Second, the population itself has grown and people have been made more aware of these measures along with the stigma against them being lifted in many areas. Third, they have been expanded to be more effective and encompassing so as to secure more of the population than before.

If "only liberals care about insignificant non-issues like this", then why is there such strong opposition from the right wing? Why such an uproar when a state passes legislation supporting it?

It's clearly over your head.

Haha. Okay imagine this.
Vatican City with much more room, and many more cowboys. That's what you'll get
