FUCKING BULLSHIT.
You fucking Americans get internet so fucking cheap.
I had 10Mb/s (was actually 6.7Mb/s) for about a year and it cost around 80$ a month. Then my ISP called me and told me it was 100$ a month because of some lies. Fuck that, fuck this, fuck Canada.
How much was 12Mb/s with Comcast in the states? Like, 20$?
I HATE IT!! :crying::crying::crying::crying:
[editline]01:41AM[/editline]
They better make boost speed to like 100Mb/s or something.
I download at max 300kb/s and it costs $40 a month. Canada sucks dick.

Wow seriously? I'm on Telus. My dad refuses to change it no matter what. He's a conservative Christian that hates technology.
He always unplugs my computer when I'm not on it because he says it's a fire hazard.

What do ISPs have to do with religion or political affiliation? That's silly.

Rogers is liberal and satan because of ridiculous bandwidth caps. Also, socialism.
Bell has a monopoly on pretty much all communication in this country, and it's hurting our internet and phone infrastructure. We need the government to step the fuck up. I wish our CRTC was more in touch with what the consumers want, but they're just eating out of Bell's hand.
The government should forcibly nationalize Bell.
The government should forcibly nationalize Bell.
Then you have a monopoly run by the government. Same shit.
The government should start their own ISP to create some competition.
Yeah, that's a great idea, government owned ISPs....

and pin newspapers on your wall about school shootings.
Yeah, that's a great idea, government owned ISPs....
Why not? They can coexist with private ones.
You see, there isn't a big "socialism" scare here in Canada. We don't get our shit in a knot and start screaming "SLIPPERY SLOPE" every time the government does something.
this does not affect me as i get my sympatico internet for free because of my job. fuck yeah.
What
WHAT
FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

At least I've got my neighbor to leech off of. He never secures his wireless network.

Well I'm pretty sure censorship will be an issue with any government that has control over ISPs.

The Canadian government owns CBC (a broadcasting company) and there doesn't appear to be a censorship issue there.

Its not really 50mb/s though.
I have 10mb/s but my max file transfer speed has been around the 900kb/s once it was 1.3meg/s and the upload is complete shit. 512kb/s upload is really capped at ~200kb/s which makes it ridiculously hard to host servers and what not.
But remember. If they know you know you have a choice on your internet; They will treat you better.
On a side note here Bell is bad too because they throttle your internet during the night when people got their torrents up.
This is insane, we are already paying way too much.

Lucky bastard. I download at max 100kbps and I pay fucking 90$ per month

Shaw is probably your best bet canadians.
in manitoba
Is this only for bell users?
good i'm tired of faggots from quebec thinking they own my server
Good think I switched to Shaw last year.
Shaw is probably your best bet canadians.
Because Shaw is so wonderful with its 300kb/s for $80 (basic cable included) in Vancouver.
Also, I hear there is a Vancouver movement to get ISPs deemed "public services", which means it would cut bills down to like $5 or something.
