Second, I've said it before, you are a gamer when you make it a habit, and turn it into a hobby. How is that so hard to understand? It's like you could go into something like airsoft, see a couple of new people with rented guns and others with their own customized guns and gear, and instantly say "Oh they are all hardcore airsofters!" Steam's constant social network expanding is a calculated effort to increase social interaction in games.
