Well, I know this is hard for most on Facepunch to believe, but some people don't agree with transgenderism. A lot of people believe it isn't a choice (practically everyone on FP), but there are actually people (like me) who don't see it like that. For people like that, it's different than being a different race or sex. The people that are part of Privacy for All Students are just trying to make being transgender a disagreeable thing. Boxes, please.
Well they do choose to transition, but they don't choose to have identity disorder.

but how do they affect you in any way at all? like, legit, what is going to happen if an ftm dude steps up next to you and washes their hands after pissing in the same bathroom as you? will you cry? will you get stabbed? will your eyes explode out into tiny fragments as a colony of fireants erupts out of your skull? probably not. seriously, there's no logical reason to get behind these campaigns that deny people's rights.
Legally no, but it is definitely your money to spend on things so go ahead.
The point I am trying to make is that paying something with your money doesn't make the intention any less disgusting.
Despite the negative subject matter of the article, that picture of a handful of jelly beans made me mad crave them right now.
Despite the negative subject matter of the article, that picture of a handful of jelly beans made me mad crave them right now.
In reality it's nothing more than a well crafted advertising campaign. I hope.
Shoving jellybeans furiously into my asshole in protest of this
Despite the negative subject matter of the article, that picture of a handful of jelly beans made me mad crave them right now.
a handful of terrible jelly beans and one or two good ones
hopefully this doesn't turn out like the chick-fil-a fiasco that actually caused more people to eat there.
i think the proper term is genderism but i'm not 100% sure
I think it's called transphobia
How does an anti trans campaign even work? It's not like they're ever gonna take rights away from trans people or anything (using the scenario of modern day america of course)
I think it's called transphobia
i think genderism is interchangable with transphobia in one way or another, at least that's what wikipedia says http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genderism_(anti-gender_non-conformity)
Discrimination towards gender variant persons who fall outside of the gender binary is prejudice towards individuals who do not fit the gender binary as strictly male or female. It is a type of transphobia[1] and sexism.[2][3] It affects third gender, genderqueer, and other non-binary identified people. Cisgender and binary transgender people can both display prejudice against non-binary people, and there is discrimination of this sort in the transgender community much like there is transphobia in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities.[4]
[editline]26th October 2013[/editline] wingz, you disagreed with me on my bathroom-fireants post. do you have a rebuttal for me that isn't the stupid "what if i want to identify as a lizard" "argument?"
Even I'll admit I might harbor unconscious biases towards transgendered individuals. I've never encountered them more than once or twice, and I've never been friends with one, and so I do feel uncomfortable around them as a knee-jerk reaction. Logically, however, I understand the science and see them as an oppressed minority.
whilst that man is a complete fucking scumbag piece of shit trash, he has the right to donate his own money to whatever he chooses
whilst that man is a complete fucking scumbag piece of shit trash, he has the right to donate his own money to whatever he chooses
Yes, he does have that right. And the rest of the country has the right to judge him for it. They have the right to boycott his business for it, too.
his money, he can do what he wants.
Such shitty logic.
whilst that man is a complete fucking scumbag piece of shit trash, he has the right to donate his own money to whatever he chooses
Thank you for reiterating something that has already been said and that nobody has disputed.
what difference does it even make if it's a choice or not? how are transgenders hurting you?
The following is my personal opinion which may or may not reflect the opinion of anybody else. Transgenders don't hurt me directly. The fact that they are accepted, people who wish to actually change what gender/sex they are, is and will continue to corrupt society. It is turning society into a monster of total self-freedom and liberality where, as long as it isn't causing any direct damage, it is accepted as being fine and normal. Tradition is being pushed completely off the road as envy and lust take up both lanes. I know that what I say might sound ridiculous, but just because it isn't hurting me directly doesnt mean it isn't affecting me. I can't stop society from becoming what has always been destined to be, but if I had the money to try and fight for it, I would do what Herman Rowland Sr. did. That's about all I can say.

I've never liked jelly beans anyway, so, I guess I can now say I hate the company too.
nice to know you disagree with scientific fact and dictionary definition
Funny you say that because when people use a dictionary definition in their arguments they usually get lambasted Not that I agree with the guy in OP but really
Funny you say that because when people use a dictionary definition in their arguments they usually get lambasted Not that I agree with the guy in OP but really
really depends on the context and use i'm sorry, but you literally can't 'disagree' with transgederism. that's like disagreeing with the fact that we breathe oxygen; it's something that is. whether or not you want to accept those transgendered individuals is a whole other matter.
Transexuals are great, they're the one minority we can still openly hate.
Transexuals are great, they're the one minority we can still openly hate.
Not true, if you're European you can hate Muslims and Gypsies, and if you're American you get the occasional free pass when it comes to poor black people and Mexican immigrants
The Jelly Bean Factory is better anyway

Jelly belly also supported prop 8, IIRC.
