It is turning society into a monster of total self-freedom and liberality where, as long as it isn't causing any direct damage, it is accepted as being fine and normal.
this nightmarish dystopian future where people are too free i have the feeling you're going to say "man if we let people match their bodies to their brain's gender - uh, shit, i mean arbitrarily decide if they want to be a boy or girl just for fun, we'll have people wanting to be trains next! hahaha, how wacky would that be?" in a bit
Transgenders don't hurt me directly. The fact that they are accepted, people who wish to actually change what gender/sex they are, is and will continue to corrupt society. It is turning society into a monster of total self-freedom and liberality where, as long as it isn't causing any direct damage, it is accepted as being fine and normal..
I'm curious as to what you mean by corrupt society? Will it make crime acceptable and rape praiseworthy? The traditional small American town that protected rapists did so because of trans people?
The following is my personal opinion which may or may not reflect the opinion of anybody else. Transgenders don't hurt me directly. The fact that they are accepted, people who wish to actually change what gender/sex they are, is and will continue to corrupt society. It is turning society into a monster of total self-freedom and liberality where, as long as it isn't causing any direct damage, it is accepted as being fine and normal. Tradition is being pushed completely off the road as envy and lust take up both lanes. I know that what I say might sound ridiculous, but just because it isn't hurting me directly doesnt mean it isn't affecting me. I can't stop society from becoming what has always been destined to be, but if I had the money to try and fight for it, I would do what Herman Rowland Sr. did. That's about all I can say.
What do envy and lust have to do with it? It sounds like you're seeing a nonexistent connection between trans people and lust, because it deals with people's genitals in some way. This is about people having the right brain for their body and vice versa (because with trans people there's a mismatch), not some kinky thing.
restrooms in reality are split by how you look. nobody is there to inspect what sex you were born as
Well that's the thing: it can be pretty obvious, especially if they're pre-op. Now you can argue that it's silly to assume everyone in the bathroom with the opposite equipment is there to rape you, and that 's a valid argument, but then why have segregated bathrooms at all? And if you accept that segregated bathrooms are pointless or outdated, then why care which one you use? Do they essential just want a room to feel like their desired sex in?

I can't believe people think that other human beings deserve to be treated less than them. As far as I'm concerned, if the person in question is self-aware, can reason and make decisions, they should be considered a human and should be endowed with every right that another citizen has.
It would destroy our society if a women ever saw a urinal.
It is a myth that we urinate in them. They are actually where we keep our man secrets that no woman can be allowed to know.
of op 10 winners. frightening facepunch. simply frightening.
don't bring attention to it
don't bring attention to it
Rating trolls have never bothered me. If they wanted proper attention they would just troll normally.
Transgenderism has more to do with envy in my opinion.
We already know you don't know jack about how transgenderism works, you don't need to make it that blatant.
Transgenderism has more to do with envy in my opinion.
what you're saying right now is actually laughable. are you even trying? seriously, if you don't know the next thing about what you're arguing for or against, then just don't.
what difference does it even make if it's a choice or not? how are transgenders hurting you?
If it were explicitly and in every sense of the way a choice I would oppose it.
Transgenderism has more to do with envy in my opinion.
I respect the transgendered. Dealing with how people treat them.
If it were explicitly and in every sense of the way a choice I would oppose it.
and why would that be?
Jelly beans are disgusting anyway.
What are you talking about? Jelly beans are awesome, especially the Jelly Belly variety.
If it were explicitly and in every sense of the way a choice I would oppose it.
Replace the term "transgender" with "homosexual" in your argument, and you'll see how many holes are in it.
Also, for the record, while I do think that transgenderism is corrupting society, I don't think individual transgenders deserve any less respect and compassion than cisgendered people. I'm not some heartless monster who would walk around pointing fingers at people with piercings. I dislike transgenderism itself, not anybody who is transgendered. This also applies to homosexuality and most anything that you would think a person like me to hate. I disagree with homosexuality, but I do not and will not hate anyone based on their sexual preferences. I have friends that are homosexual and I have friends that are atheist. That does not change my opinion about them. I've also been reading the posts on this thread and I think that I've been an idiot. To deny someone's rights doesn't help anything and only makes things backwards. I've said that too much freedom is a bad thing and have honestly thought that up until this point. But reading these posts has somewhat enlightened me. I don't really care about your opinions about me personally, I just wanted to clarify a little bit that just because I dislike homosexuality and transgenderism doesn't mean that I hate anyone who is either. I apologize. (I'm not homophobic; don't ban me.)

to say you don't dislike homosexual individuals just because you dislike homosexuality is shameful and beating around the bush. you don't like homosexuality, therefore you disagree with the very human elements of homosexual individuals
backpedaling won't fucking help your case
My case? I don't have a case. Arguments are meant to further the knowledge of the subject for either 1 or both parties arguing. I'm telling you that you've educated me.
if that's not disrespecting those people, then i have no idea what is.
Does anyone have recommendations for jelly beans?
OH GOD NO SOMEONE USING HIS MONEY FOR A CAUSE I DONT LIKE LYNCH LYNCH LYNCH
I could be wrong, maybe it's just me seeing people I don't know, but I'm seeing a lot of new posters or people with <1000 posts just spewing the most retard level shit imaginable for the past few weeks.

I disagree with homosexuality, but I do not and will not hate anyone based on their sexual preferences.
This has always struck me as a bit of a dumb argument, the whole "hate the sin, not the sinner" deal. It's essentially you saying "Nah, don't worry, I don't hate YOU, I just hate this major thing about you and think it's abhorrent and shouldn't exist!" Also, really, you're saying this sort of stuff to try and prove you're not a bigot?:
I have friends that are homosexual and I have friends that are atheist.
Really?
and why would that be?
"Ewwww yucky" [editline]26th October 2013[/editline]
(I'm not homophobic; don't ban me.)
Yeah you are sorry to break it to you
You just noticed?
No, but I've been thinking that it was just one or two cases or maybe I'm cherry picking or something. I'm only mentioning it because I've seen it a dozen times now.
