Yea thats what im trying to say. I know a sociopath and he never killed an animal while I know like 5 guys who do have empathy and have tortured and killed for the fun of it.
no, he should be arrested, be given a psychological evaluation, and locked up for a time to be determined by the results of the test.
prison isn't just for making people right again, it's also for keeping the same shit from happening again, or in this case, to keep worse shit (i.e. murder etc) from happening.

No. the ONLY thing a sociopath lacks is empathy. That's it. They are TOTALLY normal people minus the fact they can't feel empathy. By this definition, a lot of people are sociopaths including myself. That doesn't make me likely to be a killer, there's a severe stigma with the word sociopath that is entirely wrongly placed.

There's a lot more to it than that, but even if it wasn't, feeling empathy is a pretty damn important part of being human.

Lack of empathy leads to all those things perhaps. Either way, sociopaths aren't inherently dangerous people.
