[sp]i know that since i read some stuff, but like he would be in a mold of adamantium, regeneration or not that situation would be pretty bad. since there is basically nothing to regenerate.[/sp] also can he suffocate? i remember one story about deadpool, wolverine and daken and they all have the healing factor and someone was going to kill someone by tying them up and drowning them in a pool.
He would essentially suffocate to death, then reanimate just to suffocate again. It would be horrendously painful, I imagine.
[sp]Basically Wolverine interrupts Dr. Cornelius from turning random people from all over the world into Weapon X. The last thing they need is to be pumped full of adamantium and Wolverine sacrifices himself by puncturing the adamantium tank and due to that it completely covers him.[/sp] http://i.imgur.com/ZvmRqG2.jpg
Technically that doesn't mean he's dead now does it? He's just trapped in a giant block of metal? We do know his regeneration is kind of like a deus-ex-machina kind of thing in how ridiculous it is. I still can't imagine how they'd explain how his regeneration is gone, that simply doesn't make sense if it's effecting him at an atomic (or even sub-atomic) level? [editline]1[/editline] One thing I never really liked about the comic industry is that every other thing is ham-fisted into any hero's particular lore.
isn't X-23 a huge mary sue? Those are the vibes I got from her but I could be way off the radar with that one.
And Wolverine isn't?
They killed superman too. He's still around.
He would essentially suffocate to death, then reanimate just to suffocate again. It would be horrendously painful, I imagine.
better than the movie where he's [sp] being seared and disintegrated as fast as he can regenerate?[/sp]
[editline]1[/editline] One thing I never really liked about the comic industry is that every other thing is ham-fisted into any hero's particular lore.
ya, i never much cared for super-man because he's got like every form of invincibility and invulnerability, then his one weakness of kryptonite is easily blocked by him just wearing lead underwear like everybody else handling kryptonite does

It was in the recent [sp]X-men movie where he actually drowned and came back up like 'whats up guys.'[/sp]
He can in fact suffocate, but he just regenerates that as well. If it wasn't for that he would still have been drowning in there for much longer.[/sp] Also speaking of comic book characters dying and coming back, this is an interesting watch : On another sidenote the same guy was later approached by DC to write a reboot of the death of superman in the form of a TV series but it never got anywhere. He made a video pitching his idea for it as well.
I see some people mentioning his regeneration powers still, I think he lost it a little while ago from some virus in the Microverse
"The only people who stay dead in comics, are Bucky Jason Todd and Uncle Ben." Actually the only two people who consistently stay dead in comics are Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacey. As for Jason Todd/Bucky, it's a bit weirder since they basically died and their body was used as another character, but Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacey basically stay dead.
Bruce Wayne's parents stay dead. Pretty much any hero whose background is centered around loss of a loved one, that loved one is going to stay dead.
the joker died in a fanfic i read once
http://i.imgur.com/ZvmRqG2.jpg
Couldn't they just [sp]cut out the concrete beneath him[/sp]
the joker died in a fanfic i read once
In "Injustice: Gods Among Us" (the comic, not the game), Superman ends up murdering quite a few characters: Joker, Lois Lane, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, and Black Adam to name some. None of them come back.
especially Wolverine. He is hands down the single most popular X-men in the history of X-men. He appears on the covers of comics and stories that he doesn't even have cameos in.
Here's how prevalent he is: As a small child, I thought the series was "X-Man", with Wolverine as the eponymous "X-Man". (I didn't know his name was Wolverine.) I guessed they called him "X-Man" because it he could cross his claws and be like "Arr I'm X-Man, look at the x's I'm making with my claws" or something like that.
Couldn't they just [sp]cut out the concrete beneath him[/sp]
[sp]1. Cut out the concrete underneath him. 2. Find a spot where his body made direct contact with the concrete. 3. Vaporize him inside the adamantium. 4. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck the Wolverine particles out. 5. Open the vacuum cleaner when they get him all out. 6. Wolverine's head is in there, just being all "grr, fuck you guys"[/sp]
So Wolverine is trapped in carbonite?
Something important everyone forgot: Wolverine lost his healing factor a while ago.
provided his in a good mood couldn't they just get magneto to rip it open to get him out (i don't know which side his on in this continuity) seeing as he [sp]ripped it from wolverines bones at one point[/sp] 1000th post woo
Bruce Wayne's parents stay dead. Pretty much any hero whose background is centered around loss of a loved one, that loved one is going to stay dead.
bruce wayne's parents must be killed in every single rendition of the batman, without that backstory that everybody knows the whole movie would fall apart, i mean they can't just mention it in passing conversation right? [editline]20th October 2014[/editline]
You can just call up Silver Surfer and [sp]ask him if he cares enough to free[/sp] Wolverine.
or just get magnito to liquify the metal, or any of the other thousands of mutants who could manipulate the metal in such a way as to free him also while they say his regenration powers are gone, they could just cut him out and he comes back to life and some superfluous character is like "i thought you couldn't do that!" and he's all like "i don't know, guess i can still do that"
Then it will turn out he actually got lost in the space/time continuum some how because something happened to his regeneration powers mixing with so and so and needs the help of the other x-men to escape. Hire me marvel.
If his healing factor is gone, then [sp]he either died from suffocation, or because the molten adamantium boiled his brain.[/sp] Eitherway, that's a really cool and sad way to die, perfectly in line with the character. Here's to hope it lasts long enough to give the writers a possibility to use it, before he gets inevitably brought back.
Keep in mind that Wolverine has survived complete disintegration due to being at ground zero of a fucking nuke. He won't die
Actually the only two people who consistently stay dead in comics are Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacey. As for Jason Todd/Bucky, it's a bit weirder since they basically died and their body was used as another character, but Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacey basically stay dead.
Well given that Gwen Stacy's getting her own ongoing series where she's Spider-Woman, she won't be staying dead any more. Granted it's an alternate universe Gwen Stacy, but still.
Does anyone else miss DC comic's Multiverse explanation? I mean they could just have him be alive in another comic, dead in a third, and the whole thing would be perfectly within continuity. Why did they ever even get rid of that?
Bruce Wayne's parents stay dead. Pretty much any hero whose background is centered around loss of a loved one, that loved one is going to stay dead.
Actually I think there was an arc where his dad was still alive and a kingpin or something.
Actually I think there was an arc where his dad was still alive and a kingpin or something.
There's an arc where Batman IS the Dad, and becomes Batman after his wife and son are killed in the robbery. It's pretty fucking dark, too.
Remember when spider-man died? only he didn't die, he just got mindraped by doc-oct. They're not gonna kill him off. He either comes back, or we get Wolverine 2 who is a black teenager.
He'll come back somehow, some way. They always do. No one ever dies.
Richard Rider is pretty dead. The Guardians of the Galaxy are dead [sp]to me[/sp] The entirety of the Marvel Cosmic universe is dead [sp] because every writer on it now is absolute shit[/sp]
