Keep in mind that Wolverine has survived complete disintegration due to being at ground zero of a fucking nuke. He won't die
Iirc that wasn't a nuke. Read somewhere it was a massive Napalm/Sonic Grenade bomb. Edit: found it - http://www.killermovies.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-369045-wolverine-never-took-a-nuke.html
at least the excuses probably aren't going to be as horrible and jammed in there as DC does
One more day?
Also I know it's been said before, but to anybody who thinks this is permanent: Not a chance in hell. Wolverine is one of the most well-known comic heroes in the world, and easily one of the most popular. There's no way they're getting rid of him permanently.
I'd actually be more surprised if they never brought him back, I can just imagine [sp]his death being a bullshit way of making his healing factor come back after he lost it[/sp]
Then it will turn out he actually got lost in the space/time continuum some how because something happened to his regeneration powers mixing with so and so and needs the help of the other x-men to escape. Hire me marvel.
That's essentially have Steve Rogers came back to life, try again :v:
I'd actually be more surprised if they never brought him back, I can just imagine [sp]his death being a bullshit way of making his healing factor come back after he lost it[/sp]
I feel like the story left a lot open for him to come back. I haven't read #4 yet but [sp] There are still those three regenerative capsules they can use, Mr. Reed said he'll find a way to repair his healing factor. What if he infuses the capsules with something to kick start his healing factor after someone can get him out of there? [/sp]
There's an arc where Batman IS the Dad, and becomes Batman after his wife and son are killed in the robbery. It's pretty fucking dark, too.
And another where the mother becomes the Joker, along with Thomas as Batman. [sp]Flash ends up in this timeline and meets Thomas Wayne, who tells him that in his timeline, they die, and Bruce lives. Eventually, Thomas and Martha meet again, but Martha becomes mentally stable enough to speak civilly with Thomas. He tells her that there's an alternative timeline where Bruce lives, but then Martha asks what becomes of him. Thomas tells her that Bruce would become Batman, instead. Upon hearing this, Martha breaks out into a hysteric fit, runs off the ledge, and commits suicide.[/sp]
Didn't something like this happen months ago? Wolverine got caught in some kind of nuclear explosion and was reported as dead, then apparently a single molecule survived the impact and slowly regenerated back into himself? I swear, that last one happened recently.
That's essentially have Steve Rogers came back to life, try again :v:
Wolverine ,after being covered in that liquid metal goo, is transported through space/time and split into several different people who each have a piece of his personality. To bring back wolverine they need to travel the galaxy to find these individuals and have them perform a fusion dance.
In other news: EA just cancelled the Call of Duty series, Nintendo announces no more Mario games, and the Sun decides to stop giving off light and instead switches to x-rays.
I'd be more willing to buy comics if they just came out and said "look we are desperately trying to generate sales, please buy our shit".

If he's a mutant, and the mutation is genetic, then at the most base level he should technically only be able to regenerate with a single tissue cell, but by a cluster of atoms that contain no DNA information to say "rebuild" all by them self.
Does anyone else miss DC comic's Multiverse explanation? I mean they could just have him be alive in another comic, dead in a third, and the whole thing would be perfectly within continuity. Why did they ever even get rid of that?
It's a steady thing in both Marvel and DC as I understand it. I'm not too versed on DC but it definitely is in Marvel. All of the given events that undeniably happen on our world are in Universe 616, that's our designation. If it's in another universe you get things like Spiderman Noir and all sorts. They rarely interact and if they do it's because Reed Richards was being a wanker and reversed the polarity of his Toaster for a big crossover throwdown.
Geezus, you people need to look up the definition of a Mary Sue before you start throwing the phrase around.
I remember in one of the comic books Wolverine was dispatched to take care of a newly matured mutant who's power was that he emitted strong enough radiation to kill anyone in a mile radius or some shit instantly. If Logan can survive that how the fuck do they plan to kill him

[sp]Wolvering hasn't had his healing factor for quite some time and he got trapped in molten adamantium.[/sp]
Wait, if his healing factor has been gone a while, he should have been dead already from the lack of red blood cells created by his bones (which is prevented by them being covered in metal).

Since he[sp]doesn't have his regeneration[/sp], wouldn't the molten adamantium melt his body and leave a puddle on the ground instead of a statue?
Since he[sp]doesn't have his regeneration[/sp], wouldn't the molten adamantium melt his body and leave a puddle on the ground instead of a statue?
Who the hell knows with that stuff, its almost the miracle metal of the marvelverse except for vibronium which is more powerful or something
Wait, if his healing factor has been gone a while, he should have been dead already from the lack of red blood cells created by his bones (which is prevented by them being covered in metal).
Yeah but asphyxiating 3 pages into the comic would be pretty anticlimactic
Geezus, you people need to look up the definition of a Mary Sue before you start throwing the phrase around.
"In fan fiction, a Mary Sue is an idealized character, often but not necessarily an author insert." Wolverine is a mary sue character. He's impossibly good at everything he does, he always comes out on top, he's a lady killer, he never dies, he gets hurt when its plot convenient but in the same story will shrug off getting poisoned or evaporated, again, when convenient. Despite being rude, hostile and sullen, he charms the pants (sometimes literally) off every character he is associated with. Is it any wonder then the most respected marvel books/arcs had wolverine as either an inconsequential character or seriously downplayed (joss whedon's work etc) Then again I'm probably being overly critical, 90% of comic book writing is junk.
It's a fact, Death in comic books has always been a marketing thing. Ever since DC did it with Superman, that's all it's ever been used for

He'll be back. he will be back. Fictional Characters are immortals.
There's an arc where Batman IS the Dad, and becomes Batman after his wife and son are killed in the robbery. I'm more peeved off Marvel Killed off Eddie Brock again. [sp]Anyone think it's strange how he dies the exact same way that fem wolverine dies in the second film?[/sp]

sums it up imo
