lol that went off-topic fast, sorry about that it was my fault.
I don't see where he generalized the whole continent.
And seriously, it really isn't that uncommon in the places where the Ebola victims are as most people there don't have (if any) proper education.
Well since he didn't specify who "they" are I assumed he referred to Africa, or perhaps all the countries that currently have Ebola cases. Maybe it was just me generalizing stuff...anyhow.
The problem I see with the claim that "it is common" for people in Ebola struck countries to do irrational things is that it isn't common. I don't think our media really paints the entire picture of the situation in Ebola struck countries? It's not really uncommon for media to report on things that causes people to get scared. Like, am I supposed to believe that a large part of the Ebola cases is due to people digging up graves to kiss their dead relatives or doing other irrational things? I'm not sure.
I feel like if that was more common then we'd be seeing a tremendous number of Ebola cases. So that's why I can't believe it until I see evidence supporting that claim?
And then, even if that was the case, does that imply that their governments and medical personnel don't deserve any money? Of course not. I think that would be a bit selfish and potentially self-harming.
I'm gonna stop posting in this thread, because clearly you can't stay on track when someone asks you to.:suicide:

These nurses are heroes.

To be honest, after reading everything he wrote I'm not so sure about what he meant anymore. Understood it like he meant the people in the countries with Ebola, which still generalizes them, that's true.
Wasn't agreeing with the rest of his post and I didn't only mean his example (digging them out etc) but everything else that happens due to a lack of education/because of traditions, too.
And no, of course they need our help, I don't even want to think of how bad the situation would be without any help from outside Africa.
The Gopro is infected and it has become infectious.

While not expressing my opinion on this, him having a different view doesn't mean he's worse, which you are implying by making that comment.
By acting like this you're turninig this place into an echo chamber.
No one could have understood that, no one even uses /s. Don't backpedel.
good job acting like a child about a dumb rating though and bomb rating me by going into my latest posts
You thought I wouldn't notice? You are a cheeky fucker. Especially after you went "Forget about it" like you just stopped caring.

To be fair, I'm 22 and I have a pretty excessive ban history for flaming.
On the other hand I'm not a complete shitbird.
But the horrible conditions the medical staff have to work in has nothing to do with that?
If local goverments, and African in general, wasn't that corrupt then maybe all of the international financial support from the past decades would've been put into proper hospitals and equipment
It's a shame Africa won't participate in assisted suicide due to the Christian missionaries practically brainwashing the people.
Edit: Liberia is part of Africa guys.
I find this funny, as he believes he was being dumbed for geographic reasons..
I'm 20, how old are you? Fucking christ
What part of my comment made you think you were better than me? Usually the first thing people do when they think they're better than someone is asking about their age.
Oh, yeah, like you implied you were so much smarter and better then all those goshdurned Africans? Grow a fucking spine, chum.

Chum? Well aren't you an anchovy.

Aren't there Ethnic Russians you're meant to be out rescuing right now?

The only part of his entire argument that makes any real sense is the fact that our Christian Evangelicals have been carpet bombing Africa with missionaries and spreading some ass backwards ideas that eventually go over awfully in their new homes. AKA Kenya with their anti-gay/LGBT laws, that was a response to the large amount of influence that has been pushed on to the locals by said Evangelicals.

Guess who put it in that state during the last 400 or so years.
(it's our ancestors)

Yes I know what I implied and I'm going to stick with it. I think generalizing that broadly is extremely childish and to be frank, kinda retarded.
I apologized already for the derailment and said it was my fault. Never intended this to turn into an "echo chamber", but that isn't going stop me from posting my opinions about things.
That's a very good thing. It shows people around the world the shitty conditions they have to cope with. Now, can we please send a shitton of staff and medical ressources there?
Why, so the workers can be hacked to death with Machetes and the sick be released by armed raids?
I'm glad the guy who flew to Dallas died, because had he survived, how many people would say Hey, if you go to the USA with Ebola they'll cure you, and then how many would be hopping on flights to the USA? And our airports have screening processes now, but SO WHAT, They're OUR airports, it's too late if you're screening for a deadly virus at a destination. Need to screen for that shit at the origin. Simply asking Sir, are you sick? Isn't screening
Why, so the workers can be hacked to death with Machetes and the sick be released by armed raids?
With the new rounds of troops being sent to assist with this from all corners of the globe I doubt it's gonna stay that bad.
I'm curious if somebody recovers from Ebola can they catch it again? If not why not hire these people to become nurses and care for the patients without fear of becoming infected.
Are we going to start taking this outbreak seriously now :v:
Sure, do you want to pay?
We keep sending money down there, but when they can't even fucking understand not to dig up their dead bodies and kiss them goodbye, what the fuck would that help?
I already have to pay for everyone else's healthcare in my country so at this point I don't really care

VIRAL VIDEOS
As a taxpayer, I'd prefer my money go towards sending medical personnel and the corps of engineers to build actual hospitals, not shacks and tents. Instead, it funds a mini-war in the middle east.
How old are you? fucking christ
I do agree that if there is no hope of them getting better, its kinder to euthanize them instead of them dying horribly, if they have the resources to do so in the first place. They way he's wording it though is silly
