A four-year-old girl suffered head injuries when she "fell from height" at Chessington World of Adventure.
The youngster, who is believed to be in a serious condition, fell from the raised Tomb Blaster ride queue at the Surrey resort on Thursday.
The girl, from the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, is being treated at St George's Hospital, south London.
A resort spokesman said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed and its own investigation was taking place
Well-wishers have left scores of comments on the theme park's Facebook page.
The resort's spokesman added: "At 13:00 on 7th June 2012 a little girl sustained injuries following an incident at Chessington World of Adventures, the Resort Theme Park in Surrey.
"The resort's fully trained medical staff were on site immediately and administered direct care to the child until ambulance teams arrived. She was then taken to hospital in a conscious state.
"The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has also been advised, and we will of course co-operate fully with them on any investigations they wish to carry out.
"Until all investigations have concluded we are not in a position to comment further.
"We have been in touch with the family and all our thoughts and best wishes are with them at this difficult time."
A London Ambulance spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a four-year-old girl falling from height. We sent two crews and two fast response cars.
"We treated the patient for head injuries and she taken to St George's Hospital as a priority."
The Metropolitan Police said local officers had been informed but it was a matter for the HSE.

Well I guess you could say it was a.. sad day.
Well I guess you could say a tragic accident happened after a 4 year old girl fell.

Falling from a 30 ft queue does sound like a real adventure.
But really, this proves that the structure on that line isn't secure enough, needs to be fixed.
"D'oh!"
I can see the headlines now "CHESSINGTON WORLD OF DEATH"
Pretty good ride, it's like the Men in Black and Buzz Lightyear ones at Universal and Disney respectively.
Oh jesus christ, she fell on her head thirty goddamn feet. I hope that she didn't suffer any major brain damage.
Vaguely reminds me of when I went on oblivion at Alton Towers, it genuinely convinced me that I was going to die.

That shit's like 200 feet
There's an update, Daily Mail said it was 30ft but the BBC are saying 14ft and she suffered a fractured skull, a bleed on the brain and broken ribs and is now 'critically ill' in hospital
People need to watch their kids and decide whether or not they are mature enough to be in certain places. Like really, they was completely avoidable if parents/guardians would just pay more attention. You don't send a four year old off to an amusement park alone, she was being supervised for sure. There's a point where blame crosses from the company's oversight to the person's stupidity.

What the hell that was the most utterly horrid.. I don't even think you can call it a pun
How the hell did you even come up with that

Gee, I was expecting her to fall from a depth.
Bad Parents.

Here's the queue:
The kid must have climbed over the rails and fell or someone pushed the kid. It's too "high" to just fall over, especially at 4 years old.
Looking at that video, I don't notice any dangerous parts to the line except the stairs. Other than the stairs I don't see where anyone who is not a moron or an unsupervised child could get hurt. Unless part of a railing gave way, but I think they would have mentioned it if that was the case.

Someone on the Facebook page said it was from one of the rope bridges

You could say that a tragic accident happened. After she fell.
What happened after she fell is that it became permissible to say an accident occurred, not the accident itself.
I haven't been on that ride in a long time but I dont recall any drops anywhere near 30ft, I think that number might be a bit exaggerated.
looks like that park's popularity is going to drop pretty bad if you ask me
