And he should compromise because that's the point of a Democracy. It's to find a deal that everyone can agree on, and leaves enough nudging room for debate and critique. This constant crap between both parties is childish, and when the entire nation's economic welfare is at stake, both parties should be held accountable and left with charges for treason.
But Obamacare in itself is a compromise from full on socialised healthcare.

It is purely them. The Healthcare bill was passed and is law, it was democratically created and the Republicans know they can't stop it democratically, that is why they are blackmailing the rest of the government with the shut down. The Republicans do not have an alternative plan, they just want to stop the Healthcare act from ever coming into operation, that is a shit policy.
Al Jazeera is reporting how we shouldn't jump to conclusion that it has anything to do with the government shutdown because "people shoot all the time" :v: [editline]x[/editline] And how there's been a lot of "gang activity" in DC
The shooter tried to ram the gate to the White House... doesn't sound like gang activity to me. Reports are the shooter is dead, btw.
At this point I couldn't care who's responsible. They are all still getting paid to be a bunch of children, and if they are not at the very least giving their pay to the workers that are not being paid right now, I hope they lose their jobs and are disallowed from ever entering politics.

Apparently there was a child in the vehicle with the shooter
Oh boy, now it's just a matter of who they are politically affiliated with, and why they did what they did. Lets see... Two likely options: 1. Tea Party person who doesn't want "Obamacare" or 2. Federal Worker who was pissed off.

[editline]3rd October 2013[/editline] AJ said the shooter was a woman, guessing the child was hers then.
Or 3. Some crazy bastard who happened to live in D.C.
Could be that as well, but honestly... This will probably just end with them nitpicking their political affiliations because, "hurr look at this evil Republican/Democrat/Libertarian/etc"
If a Republican-controlled Senate had passed a budget and a Democrat-controlled House was blocking it you'd be blaming the Republicans.
Except a Republican Senate wouldn't pass the budget in the first place because they don't want Obamacare either. It's not about the party, but the policy.
No, that is bullshit that Republicans want you to believe - that both sides are at fault. It is purely them. The Republicans do not have an alternative plan, they just want to stop the Healthcare act from ever coming into operation, that is a shit policy.
The Obama administration added a clause for companies over 50 employees to be granted a one year grace period from the mandate, this was added without any input or vote from democrats or republicans outside the administration as they claimed "the system does not allow for this to be added legislatively" The republicans wanted the same for everyone, the democrats refused and boom we have big business a winner on the democrat side and nobody says a word. So yeah everyone fucked up, Obama for changing the bill without input, the democrats for defending that abuse and the republicans for using it as an excuse to challenge the democrats.
Except a Republican Senate wouldn't pass the budget in the first place because they don't want Obamacare either. It's not about the party, but the policy.
Which is still tantamount to treason. They are paid (still paid, mind you, despite running us into the ground) to keep the country running. Not only have they brought us to a grinding halt, they have brought us to a grinding halt over an attempt to remove funding for a law that has been held up by every branch of the Federal government. The president signed it into law, it passed both sides of congress, and it reached the Supreme court of the United States, where it was still upheld. Attempting to bypass all checks and balances on the government and destroying us in the process is unforgivable. If we weren't completely fucked right now, I would suggest that the ringleaders openly admitting that they are refusing the pass a budget because of the ACA be rounded up and placed on trial for treason. Refusing to fund a program that has passed all measures of constitutionality and democratic checks is not okay.
Except a Republican Senate wouldn't pass the budget in the first place because they don't want Obamacare either. It's not about the party, but the policy.
I'm talking about some hypothetical Republican budget, maybe one that implements some other healthcare plan, or defunds Medicare/social security/pick something you wouldn't like to see defunded. You would see the Democrats' opposition as justified, and although you wouldn't approve of bringing down the whole government, you also wouldn't approve of them giving up on whatever the new budget wants to destroy. Well, people are allowed to object to different things.
So did the woman actually shoot or did she just ram a fence? If so could it have just been a brake failure?
So did the woman actually shoot or did she just ram a fence? If so could it have just been a brake failure?
Rammed it, tried to get in, failed, decided to go guns blazing.
I suspected Linda Thompson but she died in 2009 so there goes my conspiracy theory.
Rammed it, tried to get in, failed, decided to go guns blazing.
with her kid in the car? what the shit
with her kid in the car? what the shit
could have been a spur of the moment flip out but that doesn't explain the gun
I suspected Linda Thompson but she died in 2009 so there goes my conspiracy theory.
nonsense, that just makes the conspiracy juicier
with her kid in the car? what the shit
I'm just as confused as you. I wanna say suicide by cop since this is so damn outrageous and an express ticket to get every cop in the area on your ass, but Iunno.
I have CNN on and they haven't mentioned her shooting, just that she tried to go through a white house barricade, and when secret service tried to stop her, she blew through red lights toward the captial, crashed, and was then shot by police.
could have been a spur of the moment flip out but that doesn't explain the gun nonsense, that just makes the conspiracy juicier
the presence of the gun is exactly what confuses me what's this woman's background?
Also CNN is saying that her condition is not known, so I'm not sure if she's dead. I highly doubt it because the police said they have the suspect in custody.
Also CNN is saying that her condition is not known, so I'm not sure if she's dead. NBC is saying she's dead, but haven't seen other sources say so. BBC also has 'suspect in custody'.
she was probably upset at the GTA online downtime
NBC is saying she's dead, but haven't seen other sources say so. BBC also has 'suspect in custody'.
She can be both dead and in custody :v:
