Just letting it go will likely make less people pirate.
Well piracy rates do tend to plummet when you legitimatize piracy
how does mbam size up against other alternatives? should i switch to it?
you shouldn't switch as it is far better as a secondary AV/AM, just incase your primary one doesn't get something.
Why is facepunch so pro-pirates? I don't see why on earth anyone would support someone paying for something and someone else getting it for free because they broke the law. Totally fair.
Fairly certain most people aren't actually in favor of the pirates, they just dislike stupid anti-piracy methods that don't work anyway, and in some cases gives the paying users a worse product than the pirates
wait mbam is yearly subs now? Mine is lifetime.
Went yearly with v2. You can still buy 1.x lifetime keys from websites.
Went yearly with v2. You can still buy 1.x lifetime keys from websites.
What websites? Everything I find looks super shady.
What about us using the free version, fuck us right? The assholes who "stole" from you get a free ticket but people demoing it to see if its any good, like me, are told to fuck right off?
I understand it to be more damage control than anything. Trying to get them so they won't steal again.
What websites? Everything I find looks super shady.
eBay still has a few, but they can be a bit pricey. And they're people with 90-100% user feedback.
I pay for pretty much all of my games. If I ever pirate something its going to be either an old game I had but lost the disk for or its going to be DLC for something.
If I ever pirate something its going to be either an old game I had but lost the disk for
Can anyone say with absolute definitiveness if this is considered legal? I can't think of a company who would pursue anyone with charges in this particular case, at least not in video games, but I've never been sure if it's actually legal or not

It doesn't give you the rights to the data in any other format. What you do with that disc's data is up to you within other laws, but you only have the rights to that data.
bought a premium 1 year key on g2a a couple days ago, they gave me a new key and a lifetime subscription gg
but it IS still scummy especially if you're one of those "If this was a communist society everything would be free >:( *torrents Adobe Creative Suite
is malwarebytes premium particularly good? the free version has served me well but i'm not sure if it's worth paying just for active protection
is malwarebytes premium particularly good? the free version has served me well but i'm not sure if it's worth paying just for active protection
It keeps my PC in good nick and any computers I install it onto, premium of course. I've used it for years without problems and had pretty decent support all 'round. It hasn't conflicted with my other AV either.
Got a key off G2A a week ago, just checked the account page now
I'm totally against piracy. I've always paid for my games/films/TV shows, you name it, so it makes it more annoying when some fucking spastic starts spurting shit about (the very few) benefits of pirating (most of it will be them trying to persuade themself) and then openly encouraging it online to the extent when people that pirate are basiaclly rewarded for doing so by companies and fucking over the customers that actually fucking paid actual fucking money. Seriously, fuck those guys.
Do you have permission from Prince Charles to use his likeness as your avatar or are you just pirating that
Why does it matter to them how I got my games? If I bought their software, paid for a subscription, they have no legal recourse to denying me service because they think I pirated a game.
"Your antivirus takes this cracked exe as a false positive" That's why, I guess. It's as much sense as I can make of it.
