Glad I live in Florida, where the weaker children get eaten by predators from the swamp.
Yep, the only major dangers are alligators and canals.
Glad I live in Florida, where the weaker children get eaten by predators from the swamp.
Or just suspended from school for having non-christian opinions, followed by being kidnapped, raped and killed by toothless hicks from those same swamps, who hang no less than three Confederate flags from their trucks, have more guns than brain cells, and have their own show on the Discovery Channel. I hate living in the south.
Aren't we edgy.
Canadians don't get angry so it's okay [editline]08:25PM[/editline] some of my best friends are Canadian I swear!
Live in urban areas, nothing like that happens. Except voodoo witchdoctors living in the swamps. I seen that shit, tell ya what.
I remember a story a while ago about conservatives complaining Terrorism was not associated with Islam in these textbooks. Just shows such a poor understanding of everything that it's hard to take anything they say seriously.
newsflash no one in texas reads
newsflash no one in texas reads
I'm sorry you can't see past our retarded conservative government to understand that most Texans are good people. I really do hate our legislation.
I'm sorry you can't see past our retarded conservative government to understand that most Texans are good people. However, as a somewhat liberal forum you have to understand we're all gonna' make fun of the South/SouthWest. :v:
I'm sorry you can't see past our retarded conservative government to understand that most Texans are good people. How about we just remove the Texas School Board from Texas?

Or we could just remove Rick Perry, and anyone he's nominated to the SBoE. But it's Texas, so that will never happen.
I'm sorry you can't see past our retarded conservative government to understand that most Texans are good people. I really do hate our legislation.
im from texas bro
I say we trash the whole school board thing, it's obviously a failure. Let's get some standardized national standards going here, nuts to states rights.
im from texas bro
To be honest my remark does not suggest you aren't from Texas. My point still stands.
First you get a bunch of really good agnostic/atheist actors together. Then, you set them loose as hardcore christian teachers. Then you all get onto the textbook committee. And then the teachers strike =\
To be honest my remark does not suggest you aren't from Texas. My point still stands.
considering i live in texas, im pretty sure i can see other texans for what they are
considering i live in texas, im pretty sure i can see other texans for what they are
You must live in a shitty neighborhood because everyone around here is pretty normal.
Unsurprisingly, it passed. Enjoy your Islam free books. Maybe they'll take out algebra since that was a product of the Islamic golden age.
:sigh:
I'm glad that I'll be out of school this year, long before someone ever publishes any books for Texas.
I remember my 8th grade history class over-glorifying Islam a bit, but it wasn't anything worth banning.
I speak on behalf of sane Texans everywhere. Sorry for our retarded politicians, guys. Seriously. [editline]08:51PM[/editline]
I'm glad that I'll be out of school this year, long before someone ever publishes any books for Texas.
Yeah you'll just be shitting away 180 bucks a book for the same shit at college.
fuck texas. I say we jettison the whole fucking land mass into space.

I know our high school AP Environmental Science books were the ones that A&M uses, but our school had to buy them without funding because the school board vetoed them. (Far too much evolution)
I remember my 8th grade history class over-glorifying Islam a bit, but it wasn't anything worth banning.
how exactly did it overglorify islam.
"The meany historians spend time talking about how we raped and murdered thousands of people, but they don't talk as much about how the mooslams raped and murdered thousands of people! :saddowns:"
I don't recall raping or murdering anyone.
Wikipedia should start publishing textbooks.
"Okay kids, let's turn to Chapter 5, which discusses how Clinton was a total-faglord and how Atlantic Records SUCKS"
Fucking Texas.
how exactly did it overglorify islam.
It only stated the positive aspects of Muslim religion, and tried to convince us that Muslims are all generous and tolerant people. I'm not saying that Muslims can't be good people, but Islam isn't exactly the most peaceful religion in existence..
