One question on a test != the school system's view on a subject 3) Also, remember that they have done some horrible things to the curriculum other than this, such as removing Thomas Jefferson (founding father, president) from a list of necessary enlightenment writers and replacing him with Thomas Aquinas (Catholic Saint), John Calvin (the nutjob that founded Calvinism), and Sir William Blackstone (a juror that said Common Law derives from God's Law (how this can be argued I have no idea)) 4) The ten Commandments apply to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It's also worth mentioning that the previous SBOE make ups were by and large "conservative" in nature anyways, so previous revisions were already free of the perceived liberal bias that other states supposedly have. So I'm not sure exactly what they are trying to do here beyond pushing a more extreme view and/or pandering to the "American Exceptionalism" crowd in the state. Considering they don't want any more bad press it's probably just more pandering.
