David Cameron has responded to the plan questioning the inclusion of UKIP and the exclusion of the Greens, as well as the timing of the debates [editline]13th October 2014[/editline] Only one of the debates will be on the BBC though
Probably because the Green Party is the mad-house of politics and having Natalie fucking Bennett screaming over the rest of them about greenhouse gasses won't make for a good debate. I personally think that Nigel going is good as it'll make the rest of the parties kick their arse into gear.
So many UKIP haters here, hating with no valid reason other than that UKIP are new and will contend with their favorite party.
pffft ukip are a party of middle-aged white nationalist xenophobes who appeal to daily mail readers and people who are terrified of romanians. their whole reason for existing is older than margret thatcher and their persecution complex is older than the invention of the telephone

They propose to create more more of those hideous wind turbines and virtually plan to ditch coal, nuclear, gas and oil. If you want to be reading by a candlelight, be my guest but in a country where policies like theirs is simply not needed, they can piss off.
So many UKIP haters here, hating with no valid reason other than that UKIP are new and will contend with their favorite party.
I'm not even going to go through every problem I have with UKIP, but I'll leave you with this golden nugget from their recent "policy" release.
– UKIP supports a diverse energy market including coal, nuclear, shale gas, geo-thermal, tidal, solar, conventional gas and oil.
(few lines down)
– There will be no new subsidies for wind farms and solar arrays. – UKIP will abolish green taxes and charges in order to reduce fuel bills.
Yes, this is the kind of party I want in parliament.

well the only interesting one will be the one with nigel farage so i guess i'll watch that one vote tory get labour
well the only interesting one will be the one with nigel farage so i guess i'll watch that one vote tory get labour
No matter what people vote for, we're getting some shade of Tory. Whether its a Red Tory or some fucked up combination of Blue and Purple. The UK politics system is fucked, which is probably half the reason we're seeing a rise of UKIP in the first place.

Unless things change it is, socially/quality of life wise, a sinking ship. A shame scotland didn't get away, that would have been my first choice.

Best to tell them to stop building the power plants.
I'm sorry, I didn't realise nuclear energy was a depleting resource. Best to tell them to stop building the power plants.
and i didn't realise that ukip had ever made any promises for long term investments in nuclear power? where do you pull this shit from?
Green Party are crazy, did you see their Leader call for negotiations with ISIS during the debate a few weeks ago?
a diplomatic solution is the most cost effective solution. it isn't likely, but it would turn out far better than the military strong-arm thats been tried over the last several decades. look at where the gulf started and look at what we have now, does it seem like things got better?
I'd vote for the Green party if they didn't want to completely fuck over Nuclear power, you can see how far that kind of policy has fucked over Germany already.
Consider that nuclear would probably be from some company, that company would have a monopoly on energy in that area so the prices would go nuts. Greens aren't just eco they're also anti monopoly and pro public owned shit
The leaders of the Scottish parties have been invited to discuss holding a separate Scottish general election debate http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-29598141
When asked what sort of people should be allowed to migrate to Britain, Farage said: ‘People who do not have HIV, to be frank.
-Nigel Farage on AIDS. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/oct/10/nigel-farage-keep-hiv-positive-migrants-out-britain
Found an interesting piece about the Green/UKIP media coverage gap - apparently it's partly because the Greens' own media operation just sucks dick and they're hard to work with while UKIP has a slick and ambitious PR campaign http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/10/why-green-party-should-be-tv-election-debates
