Chinese fighter jet flies extremely close(about 30 feet(900cm)) to US military plane during patrol
Next time you're on the freeway, cut off a semi truck perpendicular to its front, 3 feet away and tell me how that goes. Totally not wreakless at all!
Except instead of 3 it was 30 feet which is a safe passing distance carried out millions of times every single day?

It's a plane.
worlds largest military doesnt mean much. this giant military doesnt even have much experience.
for instance if a country had a tank force consisting of T-34's and a bunch of conscripts and aircraft that went obsolete 40+ years ago, thats not much of a force against a technological powerhouse. also if it got into any violent confrontation with american forces thatd absolutely kill both china and america. on another note, i dont think china could stomach a war with the US or any major allies.
Speaking China is rapidly modernizing at some say an alarming rate, they have developed missiles capable of sinking our carriers that we have no defense against, etc. China is no laughing matter. Sure we could beat them, while we would get a number of losses. Lets not forget China has ICBM's capable of launching nukes that have a range all over the US. Large military actually does mean something, so yea...
Why are you people complaining about this?
The US did it all the time with soviet airspace...
There's nothing wrong, the Chinese are probing US tactics and responses and in turn the US main media is making a sensationalist news out of this to annoy more people and China. Tactics are tactics

Large military doesn't mean anything. Iraq had one of the biggest armies in the world and they were reduced to ashes in 3 seconds.
The Chinese doesn't have the experience, the tradition, the infrastructure nor the political-military analysis the US have in conventional warfare. They also don't have the air defences the US have, so in case of a full scale conventional war where nukes are not available as an option, the US could easily destroy its industry as retaliation for any kind of gain made by the Chinese.
North Korea has a fuck ton of men able to fight, but their strategy relies solely on a "All-in" movement, otherwise they can't wage war, its impossible for them.
Of course, this can change in no more than a decade.

To give you an idea of how easy it is to fly close-proximity, skip to 2:30. (Loud)
At 3:05 the pilot could have literally touched the other plane with his hand, had his windshield not been in the way.
You say its easy then link to a video of some of the best acrobatic pilots on the planet...

I think the complaint is the distance between the aircraft, not where this took place. They don't need to fly what is apparently quite close to US aircraft to test the US's response to an unauthorized aircraft in their airspace.

30 feet is like the 3 feet of the aeronautical world

Yes I can see that and you are right, but some others concentrate more on the "lol gtfo away from us" aspect.
Exactly. A matter of seconds. These fighter pilots are trained to have good reflexes. A matter of seconds is plenty of time to perform an appropriate reaction. When you're driving your car, everything happens in a matter of seconds too. When you're on the highway and the car in front of you brakes, "A matter of seconds" is the difference between a collision and no collision. Hundreds of millions of people perform this incredibly simple task every day. And now consider that these fighter pilots have significantly more training than the average layman.
I wouldn't usually do this but.... I just had to calculate this as I was curious. This is all very rough so it might be completely wrong but........
Lets assume the American plane (a P-8 posseidon, pretty much a fancy 737 so lets use that data as there is none for the P-8) is cruising at 485mph, and the jet was going (a very conservative) a speed of 600mph. This gives us a relative speed of 115mph. That 30ft gap would disappear in around 200ms (ie 0.2 seconds). This sort of thing isn't a "matter of seconds" its a matter of a less than a second.
If the American military doesn't like the Chinese flying so close to them, maybe they should move their military planes the fuck away from the airspace that's right next to China's airspace?
Next thing they'll do is casually fly a nuclear missile near Russia's airspace.
What the fuck does that mean
It's like having some dude start circling and rubbing his dick on you because you were walking down the street near his house
they were testing the "Top Gun" maneuver
keep flexing china, its about the only thing you can do.
china is like the kid in the school yard of international politics who thinks he is tough shit and for that fact goes around trying to act tough and goes around and tries to bully people.
Can we please stop these 'school yard' analogies. Not just you, but everyone. They are overdone and terrible. This one is terrible because China, as the world's second largest superpower and soon to be the most prominent, is actually 'tough shit'.
As a flight instructor I can confirm that it is very difficult to fly in close proximity to another aircraft due to wake turbulence and wingtip vortices. The average "game with airplanes in it" are nothing like flying a real aircraft, and even simulators like FSX do not simulate ground effect or wake turbulence from other aircraft.
The US plane was flying in international airspace, however in a Chinese ADIZ.
But despite that fact, flying that close is quite careless. And doing barrel rolls on top of that :v: ?
Similar incidents with deadly outcome have occurred before.

ah yes, shitty modern aircraft, subs that can hit targets anywhere in the world with nuclear missiles, a stealth fighter that will be introduced in a few years(j-20) modern tanks equipped similar to western tanks, a large navy, airforce, and nuclear weapons.
Pfff conscript rabble.

Don't deny the PLAN is very weak
Except instead of 3 it was 30 feet which is a safe passing distance carried out millions of times every single day?
You're a fucking idiot and you have got absolutely no fucking clue what you're talking about. I'm honestly surprised you're able to talk out of your ass when your head is shoved so far up it.
If in a civilian airspace with private and commercial pilots, someone passes within 30 feet of another aircraft, then someone is either going to get their ass kicked for being reckless, fired for being reckless, or be severely punished for being reckless. You can only imagine what would happen if something like this occurred accidentally in with foreign military aircraft. 30 feet is seriously fucking close for aircraft.
Your Blue Angels comparison is hilariously stupid as well. Comparing the Blue Angels to a Chinese grunt Fighter Pilot is like comparing a F1 Driver to a kid in a go cart.

They're not though. Even if they're a few years behind the US, they've still got absolutely massive numbers of people in their military and massive numbers of people they can call into reserves.
Keep in mind that the last conflict we had with China turned a steam roll into a stalemate, and they weren't well equipped at all.

Just to add to your statement, here's two excerpts from the FAA regs:

The jet was definitely creating a "collision hazard" also;

Basically aircraft are not allowed to come anywhere near each other, and if you ask any pilot, "too close" is something in the order of half a mile or so, especially when its not arranged before hand, like in this article.
Don't deny the PLAN is very weak
Since they have lots of nuclear weapons, I wouldn't call that
'weak'.

This is the most American opinion on global politics fucking ever.
Wonder what will happen if China starts flying their planes next to American airspace "routinely"
Wonder what will happen if China starts flying their planes next to American airspace "routinely"
Russia already does that, and not just to America. 10 times out of 10 we just tell them to go home, and they listen.
Wonder what will happen if China starts flying their planes next to American airspace "routinely"
We'll send jets up to escort them away from a safe distance... Like what we do to the Russians who literally just did this the other day. The Russians do it all the time, we do it to the Russians sometimes, and occasionally other nations do it to each other. Or in North Korea's case they go into international waters and randomly tell air force jets they are violating their airspace... because someones struggling to be relevant.
