Both India and America are democracies in the true sense of the word (although India had to practice a bit, especially when Indira Gandhi was in power).
My great-uncle, who later went on to become India's minister of defense, led a rebellion against Indira in those days because of her subversion of the democracy.

Today it is a democracy, but it was closer to authoritarian back then.

I'm just saying that the people still fought it throughout the period. Indira had called a state of emergency and declared martial law as a means to get power beyond her station, and abused it massively, but she was assassinated in the end, and by her own bodyguards. The population won't sit idly by if their rights are infringed upon.
Technically, no, it's primarily applicable to cows. There is religious sanction for the use of the flesh of a bull or its skin (to make into leather) if it happens to die of natural causes, same goes for cows, but killing an ox or a cow (especially a cow) is a one way ticket to hell. But then our religion also says that if you happen to sell cows, ginger, betel leaves, and a few other things I dont remember, you'll also go to hell, same goes for if you drink milk without offering it to God first. I've always wondered if that applied to ice cream as well, if it does I'm probably fucked, so see you in hell I suppose.
So you can shove milk down people's throat and doom them to hell. Cool.

You have to knowingly do this, somebody who tries this kind of stunt in the attempt to get somebody else to incur the debt of a sin only winds up gaining a double share of the guilt on his own head, while the other individual remains blameless on the karma sheet.
