just grabbed my <name>@outlook.com address :v:!
Hotmail sucked, it was slow and I found gmail easier, but this looks promising.

Fuck yeah bigger avatars
Honestly, if microsoft makes this work, i'll gladly switch to an @outlook email, i quite like the interface, it's much swifter than hotmail and doesn't have the stupid social msn update bullshit
It totally doesn't work in Opera
I rarely use e-mails (When I do it's to receive my semester grades and activating accounts) so what's the difference between hotmail and outlook?
why do this when i can have firstname@shortenedlastname.me
(obviously not my real email)
This is kind of sad actually. Hotmail used to be extremely popular.
I actually had a Hotmail account waaay before Gmail was around because Netscape banned my Netmail account and I was forced to switch over. Those were the days.

how do you do this? I see no option to make an adress
I already have an ms account, but no hotmail address
Well this is good, because my Hotmail got hacked.
Hotmail sucked ass even before that though.
Is it similar to Outlook Express for XP? If so I'm in.
Hotmail was absolute garbage.

then they'd have to buy millions and millions of <shortenedlastname>.me domains.
And wouldn't get free publicity from people giving eachother their e-mail adresses.
fuck yeah, got my first name
Gentleman@outlook.com
ooh yes
Still doesn't hold a candle to Thunderbird in terms of speed or any other factor

There's already speed benchmarks comparing the desktop application and web interface? Link?
Welp time to cybersquat my real name, any usernames I've ever used and any obvious gimmicks I can get my hands on
At first I thought I had to replace my old school @hotmail.com address with the @outlook.com, but the alias feature is brilliant.

i spend 8 bucks a year for an awesome email
its so worth it
Always used hotmail, and I love the new ui. Feels so much faster and less sluggish.
I'm liking the new interface a lot.
Just got <lastname>@outlook.com in place of my horrible old hotmail address
And also have the option of changing back to <firstname><last initial>@outlook.com - seems you get 2 renames before it locks you out
Huh. That's pretty neat. As long as I have my old hotmail.com account, I'm fine. I've have so many things tied up to it that it'd be a hassle to change everything.

You keep all the contacts and emails and shit
Link to rename is in the email you get sent welcoming you to Outlook
Should I get mine renamed, I will miss my @live.com.au address

You can change back

I gathered that.
hotmail.com
live.com
msn.com
now introducing outlook.com
what will they think of next.
Outlook pretty much synchronizes everything across my computers and phone, contacts, calendar and presumably settings. Pretty damn nice. And you can have a reading pane now. Definitely an upgrade.
I'd might use it but I already have my entire internet life plugged into my GMail accounts.
