Looks like that car was traveling at break neck speeds.
Toyota: Moving Forward
Too much like hardwork to turn the engine off I suppose or get the car fixed when they're all being recalled.
Why didn't they just pull the key out? Also, this is old news.
Let's ban toyotas.
Does no one find it funny that Toyota had the best track record for many many many years and all of a sudden the government takes over GM and they do some cash for clunkers thing that COMPLETELY FAILED because no one bought GM cars, so now Toyota all of a sudden has problems? I think the government is just trying fuck with Toyota to make them hurt. A lot of these accidents are probably because people slam on the gas instead of the brake, or someone is on the cell phone not paying attention. Anyone else notice that all the accidents happen to WOMEN AND OLD MEN??? The 2 worst drivers on the planet??? I'll just let you guys think about it for a while.
Can't live without your power steering, granny? :smug:
The steering wheel locks as in you cant move it at all.
The steering wheel locks as in you cant move it at all.
thats if you pull your keys out though..
And you lose steering. Good luck not crashing and hurting yourself and others when you suddenly lose steering and having your wheels lock on a road where you could be doing a high speed with other cars relatively close to you.
You do lose power steering but that doesn't make the car impossible to steer, just harder. Especially hard at those speeds. Also, why would your wheels just lock? I think it's common sense not to fully slam on the brakes on a goddamn highway with people around you. Especially with something like this where you don't have to stop right on spot. Also, the steering does not lock just because the engine is off. It locks when you pull out the key which you shouldn't anyway. Anything else would be a riveting safety issue. Just go on the clutch, get out of the gear, turn off the engine, prepare for amazing steering, go over to the emergency lane or whatever there is and then brake. Shouldn't be that hard. Then again i didn't try and i'm not familiar with the great advances of automatic transmission in this case.
It was tired of people farting inside of it, so it tired to run away from the humans
It was tired of people farting inside of it, so it tired to run away from the humans
Thanks my good sir, you just made my day.
And you lose steering. If you do that you risk destorying the car, and worse, crashing.
If you don't drive and/or don't know how cars operate, just stop saying shit. You can turn the car off and have it in the power position, steering wheel is unlocked. Yes you lose power steering, but at 60+ km/h, the car will still turn smoothly. tl;dr shut the fuck up
turning off the car would be the best bet.
No
Putting it into neutral would just make it rev to the moon and blow up after a couple mins.
That's why all new engines have rew limiters, so they can't blow up.
Your brakes work with the car off, so just turn the car off, go to the side of the road, and hit the brakes.
But your brake booster wont, so you're screwed.
Wow!
I said the same thing about your post TL:DR Put it into neutral, pull over and brake, turn off the engine. Celebrate the fact you're intellegent enough to-do what most owners of new Toyotas don't comprehend.
