reminder that postal 1 is rated m and you literally kill children and civilians. and you can still stream it a y y l m a o
Looks like I'll be searching for launch day streams of Hatred on myfreecamsite
Isn't Postal 2 AO? I mean, you can kill everyone and do shit like burning them, pissing on them.
Isn't Postal 2 AO? I mean, you can kill everyone and do shit like burning them, pissing on them.
Nope it's rated M.
Yes, it is nothing suspicious at all. Why does everything have to have some conspiracy behind it? A company that literally needs video games to exist to function isn't going to be anti-video game or whatever insane idea you've concocted in your mind. If it was a response to Hatred, they would've done it when Hatred was announced and the controversy over it was in full gear, not a few days before release well after the drama has ended.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that hatred literally releases tommorow for early backers and twitch banning AO games 2 days before said day isn't a response to its release? Its the most controversial game of all time. Not everything is a conspiracy theory, twitch doesn't like hatred and probably didn't like othersAO games either so just blanket banned them all. [editline]28th May 2015[/editline]

Although I agree polygon is the absolute worst place to get any info related to gaming, the game is rated AO on its site.
Couldn't they do something basic as making option to turn streams "adult only" so delicate eyes and minds of children doesn't get corrupted or what is the thing people say these days.
Although I agree polygon is the absolute worst place to get any info related to gaming, the game is rated AO on its site.
It's self rated.
They have this feature. And yet they still block AO games :v:
Yeah, like others have said. They have the tags but for some reason WILL stop halt your stream.
So I wanted clarification on a few things so i went poking into their terms of service, I got my answer (modded nudity in games is also banned) but I also found this:
Dress...appropriately: Nerds are sexy, and you're all magnificent, beautiful creatures, but let's try and keep this about the games, shall we? Wearing no clothing or sexually suggestive clothing - including lingerie, swimsuits, pasties, and undergarments - is prohibited, as well as any full nude torsos*, which applies to both male and female broadcasters. You may have a great six-pack, but that's better shared on the beach during a 2-on-2 volleyball game blasting "Playing with the Boys." * If it's unbearably hot where you are, and you happen to have your shirt off (guys) or a bikini top (girls), then just crop the webcam to your face. Problem solved. We sell t-shirts, and those are always acceptable. #Kappa
http://www.twitch.tv/user/legal?page=rules-of-conduct So what's perfectly acceptable in public for all ages on a pleasant day (or whenever really, you wanna show your sixpack in winter, I won't stop you) is still too much for twitch...

If it's a woman walking on the coast in a bikini, that's fine, but Twitch isn't the coast, and lots of women use sex appeal to get views and donations.
Could we stream some "twitch approved" game such as Mary Kate and Ashley as a protest?
Someone stream State of Emergency for the PS2 or Xbox. Just moe down civilians and use their severed heads for weapons. Because that was only worth an M.
Could we stream some "twitch approved" game such as Mary Kate and Ashley as a protest?
Barbie horse adventures. Along with lewd commentary while streaming.
I really hope that Hitbox gets some more viewership with this.
Someone stream State of Emergency for the PS2 or Xbox. Just moe down civilians and use their severed heads for weapons. Because that was only worth an M.
Sounds pretty kawaii.
Hitbox is awesome tbh. Much better functionality than Twitch, just people dont go to hb for streamers as they are all on Twitch.
Hitbox is awesome tbh. Much better functionality than Twitch, just people dont go to hb for streamers as they are all on Twitch.
hitbox functionality is actually quite bad, their whole system for highlighting and saving past broadcasts sucks (and has done for over a year now) and if you want to upload that highlight to youtube and you use chrome, well good luck with that because it won't work (also a long standing problem) meanwhile on twitch, doing all that is easy and actually works well
It's not the nudity, it's the intent of the nudity. If a popular streamer also got slightly popular by doing it in a bikini does it really have much of an impact on anything?
Why are people saying "switch to hitbox"? How about no? I'll use twitch for everything that isn't on their whiny baby list, then go to hitbox for 'banned' stuff.
Why is hatred even an AO game, it doesn't even have gibbing from what I've seen
Why is hatred even an AO game, it doesn't even have gibbing from what I've seen
because it doesn't have ~~social commentary~~ with its gorefest
Why is hatred even an AO game, it doesn't even have gibbing from what I've seen
because it's self-rated by the developers and they want to stir up as much controversy as they can for publicity
https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/603807759532949504
Twitch's latest ban on AO rated game streaming is essentially a "Don't stream Hatred" rule
Oh well what a surprise.
It might be on the AO listing for twitch because polygon reported that it's AO? Also it's not on the ESRB database but it's rated AO on steam. [editline]28th May 2015[/editline]
It's no secret a whole lot of female streamers used sex appeal to get sub money and donations.
Used? more like use. (see: fluffiest_bunny)
I don't really see any games on that AO list that you'd expect to see streamed on twitch anyway, with the exception of GTA: San Andreas, which seems to stick out like a sore thumb. Porn Game Porn Game Softcore Porn Game Porn Game Porn Game GTA: San Andreas Porn Game Sortcore Porn Game Porn game ... Edit: Here's the actual list:
Fuck me, Thrill Kill? I'm getting all sorts of flashbacks.
