You forget that religion is built around morals. It's against my moral beliefs to kill anybody, and life has consequence which effects where I go in my afterlife. I don't believe other people's lives are disposable, because if I did, that would go against the fundamentals I was taught. As for forcing my beliefs on people; I don't. I'm a live and let live kind of person, and I think others, like people in this thread, should be too, because everyone is happier that way.
My whole argument here is that people just jump on religion any chance they get. It's like if somebody made a thread about a new species of animal discovered, and someone made an evolution joke, I would run in saying "Lol evolution, you're fucking stupid, how do you believe this shit?" I don't do this, and I never see anybody else do this, so why does everyone just run in and start flinging shit around about religion? I respect your beliefs, and I never bother anybody about them, so why do I always get bothered about mine?

The main reason I like debating with religious people is because I feel that if I get them to question their beliefs at least a little bit, I've done my job. Religion on an individual basis can be fine, but I think that religion as a whole causes the majority of the world's problems. Wars, politics, logic, social structure, everything is way too influenced by religion. The world would be a better place if religion didn't exist, not to say that you shouldn't have faith.
