How on earth does it have FLAC support but not M4A? They don't even need to ship the decoders (like FLAC) because it's supported natively by Windows and OS X.
missing way to much to be considered a full release imho but whatever. probably won't use this for a very long while.
Not gonna use it untill they introduce last.fm scrobble support.
Pretty awful in comparison to most other music players. There's no way to edit metadata in the app (something I use daily in iTunes), the player can only play an album at a time, and the sorting is all sorts of fucked up. It's not reading the id3 tags properly on half of the files I've personally edited, making all sorts of duplicate artists and shit.
I doubt anyone will actually use it - I use iTunes and it's absolute shit compared to that. And iTunes is shit, too, which says a lot.
needs last.fm support asap
This is pretty much what I expected from a Steam music player
steam started to freeze for me when it duplicated my 500 song collection, making 1600 songs in one playlist
Any way I can view the sounds tracks of all the games I own?
Can't say I'll get a lot of use out of it yet at the moment since I use spotify for everything, but it's neat to see them push this forward. Steam is really covering all its bases in terms of what consoles offer. Being able to access games and music and other media is pretty damn sweet.
Unless they add spotify support though, I won't be using it

I guess they could expand it, but as it stands this is pretty bad compared to any other player out there.
So how do I add my stuff? I have like 1000 songs in tons of diffrent folders and if I have to manually import ill be pissed.
I really need to have more music on my PC. I'm stuck listening to the stock Windows 7 music when my internet dies.
Best windows stock music

Aw fuck it scanned my music folder! Now all my thousands of samples are in the list ;-;
It would be neat if it displayed what I'm listening to on my profile.
It would also be neat if it played more than just mp3, what a joke.
Even as a simple mp3 player, there is a lot of room for improvment.
a lot.
I'd begin with some sort of customizable categories thing like they have for games.
If it improves and expands, then the Steam client could become the next XBMC.
Not something I'd go out of my way to mess with, but slipping features like this in, a little at a time (like Russia vs Ukraine) then it shouldn't cause too much fuss.
-edit
Also, there is no stop button...
Do you guys know if there is a way to add the entire library to the queue yet? Rather than album by album
