Kcups are very convenient, that's the whole of their appeal. For one thing the ratio of ground coffee to water is critical. X amount of coffee plus Y amount of water brews you a good cup of coffee. Keurig sells machines that you can set from 3 or 4 ounces of water up to 11 or 12, using the SAME size Kcup! WTF? One of the sizes is ideal for the Kcup, all the other sizes are either too much water or not enough, and you'll wind up with an awful cup of coffee.

This DRM thing is counter productive. The more types and sources of Kcups you can choose from, the more likely people will want the machine. It's like selling a toaster that only accepts Wonder bread, instead of any bread.
