Blowing it up would only happen if it contained unstable liquid explosives. From the pictures, the explosives in this house were exclusively plastics.

Depends on what is in there.
Some explosives will burn rather than explode when set on fire. C4 is the most noteworthy of that bunch, though there are others.
They should get a guy in a bomb suit go and run laps inside the house.
