And there's absolutely nothing that made this mission much more dangereous than their previous, so why aren't people being this enraged when soldiers die doing "stupid" stuff like courtesy patrols and protecting the civilian populace? However, the official statements from soldiers related to the search for him say that additional searches were done, and that these patrols were vulnerable. They got hit by IEDs and single attacks, and the main reason deaths occured was because resources were directed to the search instead of the closure of COP Keating that was too dangereous to keep running. Why is nobody blaming leadership for this bad management? Eight deaths were because they stopped doing everything else, not because some patrols were sent to look for him.
