Bazinga: China bans The Big Bang Theory from streaming sites - Polidicks

It's not really a good show, but it's not much worse than every other crappy sitcom out there. You get a few chuckles here and there but overall it feels hollow and forced (once again, like most crappy sitcoms). People blow it's crappiness out of proportion because it involves "nerd humor".

HIMYM is ended, and most comedies are more like Community or Parks and Rec, no laugh track and quicker paced than a classic sitcom.

It's a shame that they banned NCIS, it's my favourite "cop" show.

I'm not some ranting, raving blowhard who thinks that women should be infallibly iconized, but the fact that the primary female character is so skewed as unintelligent when every other character is so ridiculously intellectual is kind of pissy IMO. I haven't seen past the first series, though, so the odds are that's changed and I just look like an assclown. :downs:

It's like a slightly more adult version of your average Nick sitcom, by which I mean they say the words "sex" and "ass" sometimes.

This just goes to show that regular Chinese people wanna live like Americans and probably like our culture. The Chinese government are the one's being the asshole. So paranoid they are that they censor everything least the Chinese people get a little taste of freedom.

In Iran the people are becoming more and more liberal and are getting more disillusioned with the government every day. Even in North Korea, there's been a greater and greater demand for Western media and other influences. If it weren't for oppressive, authoritarian governments, the world would look far different.
