Why is it that in every thread on facepunch in which the word religion only gets mentioned, a whole shitstorm breaks loose? @topic That's a really sad case. I hope he gets out of that whole thing, he only tried to help his father. People like this person should be allowed to end their life.

Personally I think everyone should have the right to take their own lives. Of course I think it was bad of the son to bring a GUN into a HOSPITAL but what other choice did they have? If someone is in so much pain every single day that they would rather die then I think they should be allowed to make that choice. They are adults and capable of making their own decisions.

But that's probably what you meant anyway.

I would much rather get someone medical help for something like depression than let them kill themselves, because once they're over the depression they will probably be glad to still be alive. But it's when we have people who aren't mentally ill but in serious physical pain every day then I think they should be allowed to take their own lives or if they can't do it themselves then to have someone help them. If I was bound to a life of pain for the rest of my days then I think I would be thinking about killing myself aswell.
