Teacher gives his dad in hospital a gun to commit suicide

Idiot you don't need 19 rounds of ammo to kill yourself and you don't need extra gun parts either
So his dad wanted to end his life, because he couldn't deal with what he was going through, his son helps him by giving him the materials needed to do it. Then the police try to ruin the sons life by helping his dad.
gg police
stupid cult motherfucker. Tellnig poeple its perfectly okay to be depresed and blow their brains out. It makes me sick even to hear about this, and giving it to a dad is even worse
If you do not have the right to die, the right to live is not a right but an obligation.
Honestly, the son did a good thing. Maybe not, "The RIGHT thing," but there is no real right or wrong when it comes to this stuff... Only what the dad was thinking.

Extra?
The article said other.
As in, the gun was not fully assembled. He had the receiver and everything else disassembled in a bag for the sake of making it not look like he had a gun in a bag.

Hell if you have a reciever in your handbag something's wrong with you
On the home page of Facepunch it cuts off the full name of the thread title if it's too long.
It said "Teacher gives dad in hospital a..."
I thought it was going to say blowjob. :v:
Was it a headshot
No, he shot himself in the foot.
Hell if you have a reciever in your handbag something's wrong with you
Did you read the goddamn article?
It didn't say anything about a handbag. It said he walked in with a bag. Nothing was wrong with him, he was giving it to his father.
Thought this was about a teacher giving a gun to a students dad. I was dissapointed.
His dad was a pussy.
Did he drop any good loot?

har har har... u so funneh
Go away.
..What?
I love how you never cease to make yourself look stupid, it makes me smile.
Although the topic in itself brings up the good point of wether or not we should actually legalize the right to take ones own life. I mean where in the moral fabric does it say that it is a crime to kill yourself?
"Sir, you have killed yourself and therefore are under arrest. You do realize you can face some serious jail time"
So WHY is Euthanasia illegal?
For the people who think it should remain this way, I have to ask: how does it affect YOU?
I guess you could get folk killing people then claiming it was euthanasia or things to similar effect...
I guess you could get folk killing people then claiming it was euthanasia or things to similar effect...
Do you get folks cutting out people's kidneys and saying it was necessary surgery?
What i want to know is how he got a hold of a Walther PPK in the 80s.
assisted suicide should remain illegal only god has the right to decide when people should die
As God, I decree that Uber|nooB should die now.
What i want to know is how he got a hold of a Walther PPK.
He bought it at auction after they threw James Bond in jail for manslaughter.
He shouldn't have taken a loaded gun into a hospital, but if we actually had the right to die when we like this wouldn't happen.
Great to see that the anti-gun legislation in the UK prevented this suicide from happening.
This "right to die" thing would serve to open the way to situations as is the case with the Neatherlands, where they can put you down like some kind of helpless animal without your consent.

No it wouldn't. Slippery slope arguments are stupid, don't use them.
In all seriousness, not everyone should have the right to kill themselves, a lot of people would off themselves during a temporary thing like depression.
But that's probably what you meant anyway.
Who cares if what someone is going through is "temporary"? And who gets to decide that? You can't just analyze a person's situation and decide FOR them what's best for them. Everyone has the right to die whenever they god damn want to.
This is fucking bullshit. Why the FUCK should we not have the right to die if we want to? I mean, if I'm terminally ill and getting sicker and sicker, and just being generally miserable at the age of like 80, shouldn't I get to decide if I want to die? I mean sure, put SOME regulations on it, but at ages of over around 60 and over, nothing is really gonna get any better.

Although I do agree that bringing a loaded gun into a busy hospital is a crime, is wrong, and should be dealt with as such.
It's not like suicide hurts anyone.
But the person who is suicidal of course.
Walther PPK? he was assasinated

Poor father.

If my dad suicided, it would hurt me alot.
Not physically, obviously.
If the guy was terminally ill, the doctors should be able to ask him if he would like a shot that could kill him to put him out of his pain.

You don't have the right not to be emotionally harmed by what others do. If he attempted suicide and tried to take you with him, that would be a different matter.
