it gets boring fast
not to me so far, have more time in minecraft than most of the "big" shooters that I have poured far too much time into
not to me so far, have more time in minecraft than most of the "big" shooters that I have poured far too much time into
well then lucky you, I simply feel no reason to play it...but I can see the appeal to some people
Let me fix this statement for you. Minecraft gets too much attention for the bare minimum of work put into it. We can't really say there's that much content in Minecraft right now and that Notch is a super coder.
Yes however its fun but if more content was put in it could be better.
I really don't see how New Vegas comes before Mass Effect 2.
Why do you guys care about what place is the game on in the top-10 list? A game is released about each day. If some of them managed to get to top10, they are all winners. Later judging depends on your taste purely. Personally I like New Vegas and minecraft better than ME2. You prefer ME2 over New Vegas and so on. It's ok since all of these games are games of the year. [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline] I didn't see Tetris had much content but It was the game of the decade back in the days. I don't remember Counter Strike was as advanced as Operation Flashpoint or other tactical shooter based on realism but still remains top 1 game in FPS cybersport and some of the most played games on steam. Point is that simplicity is sometimes much, much better that some advanced simulator because It's a videogame where you are supposed to take a rest and relax.
I almost gave a shit before I realized that everyone has their own opinions and that I shouldn't be offended because Mass Effect 2 is behind X on this list.
I'd switch some around *cough cough bayonetta, super mario galaxy, rock band cough cough* but I agree with the items on the list.
Rock Band 3 is higher than Mass Effect 2? This article is buuuullshit. [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline] Is my opinion at least.
To me personally, RDR was the best game this year. The detail put into Marston's walk was amazing. I could get the feeling that the development team loved making that game.
fuck yeah minecraft fuck yeah super meat boy
I'm just going to say this list is in no particular order and go on with my day
SMG2 should not be on there. It really is nothing but a shameless rehash of the original. Surprised by Bayonetta. Will have to pick it up sometime. RDR......meh, it was okay. I wouldn't call it top 10 material though.
I'm not sure what they gain from putting numbers next to the names other than a bunch of people complaining about it. Lists like this are a lot better off not using numbers at all.
Joke list?
Heh, nice to see Civilization V on there. That's a damn good game.
I don't see why it's fair to put minecraft (a game that isn't technically "complete") on a list full of games that ARE released.
I don't see why it's fair to put minecraft (a game that isn't technically "complete") on a list full of games that ARE released.
Because people can play it and still have more fun then games that ARE released.
Because people can play it and still have more fun then games that ARE released.
Some things are better pre-release than post release, because of glitches and stuff.
Because people can play it and still have more fun then games that ARE released.
This isn't even about how much fun you have with minecraft. Don't bring your opinion into this discussion. I want to know how they can rightfully compare a beta to a final product.
This isn't even about how much fun you have with minecraft. Don't bring your opinion into this discussion. I want to know how they can rightfully compare a beta to a final product.
They can compare it because people enjoy it? This isn't an opinion, it's a FACT. People DO enjoy it. Therefore, it's comparable. You still have to pay for it. You still had to purchase it this year. I fail to see how this is anything less than comparable.
I don't see how Super Meat Boy was so good. It's your average balls to the wall difficult platformer. [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] Nothing new [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] and New Vegas... I mean sure it's fun, but the core gameplay is still very much Fallout 3
I have so much fun in minecraft compared to other games.
Minecraft is an epic game of awesome autism adventures! See? Its is AAA title :3: [editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
I don't see why it's fair to put minecraft (a game that isn't technically "complete") on a list full of games that ARE released.
Because the single player is pretty much bug/glitch free. Its multiplayer that has all the bugs.

In all honesty, everyone I know that plays the game is totally social. I don't know a single autistic person that plays this(How could I, he's staying inside minecrafting) in real life. Seems goofy this joke goes so far.

Just look at the Minecraft thread and how fast it EXPLODES into posts.
Mass Effect 2 > RDR
Red Dead Redemption was shit tbh.
Normally that would be the case. But you see, this guy is claiming that his opinion is something special. "A List Worth Reading"
1) It's not my opinion. I didn't write the list. 2) While even I disagree with a few of the picks, I think that this list is different from and more read-worthy than most other end-of-year top-ten lists. I challenge you to find a list that's better that was written by a major publication (ie. not some random blog with 12 readers).
The other day I overheard some kid reading a gameinformer raging about how RDR got number one and how "cod blops" should have gotten it :v:.
Im sorry but rdr wasnt the best game of the year. sure it was fun but I think gta4 was better and mass effect 2 should have won. even though I really liked bayonetta and super meat boy.
gta4 didnt come out this year dummy
