The sad part is this is true.
Excuse me if this post might have missed the point, I have a bad attention span which makes me unsure if I have comprehended this article or not... but here goes.
If the article is what I believe the title implies, then I agree. Sexism in our modern society isn't something that is solely enforced by men; it is something that has been worked into and accepted as part of our culture. Women are seen as sex object, and men are seen as sex hungry savages. Media's portrayal of shy virgin men as losers makes us see sex as a status symbol and women as an achievement. Women's portrayal as prices to be fought over enforces a struggle to be what men most desire, and seeking partners out yourself is seen as desperation and low standards.
