will they actually be charged? cause it's not like they could even do what they were planning
Yes. Generally speaking intent, and taking steps towards fulfilling your goal, even if it's unattainable can be considered to be on part with the crime, as long as it's a severe enough one. Premediated hate crime murder is.
and persons Crawford believed were contributing to the demise of the United States
What do you want to bet he meant Obama?
What do you want to bet he meant Obama?
I'll put 1$ on he didn't mean Obama. With the odds, that means if he didn't, I'll be a trillionaire.
What they wanted to do is pretty likely physically impossible, without endangering a large section of the populace in the path, as x-ray tubes tend to scatter more as you up the power. Think of a cone - the x-rays will start at one point, but scatter out in straight lines from it. Further you go from the source, more area covered. Also, it'd be fucking huge, near impossible to make, require hilarious amounts of power (at high voltages) and either overheat constantly or just melt. Oh, and it might become slightly radioactive if my understanding of how some high energy linear accelerators work. (think radiotherapy on steroids)
But since it's a high frequency wave wouldn't it not diffuse as much as say, red light?
That is the best headline I've read in forever. Thank you sir.
this whole article instantly reminded me of the Sheep-powered ray gun from Sheep in the Big City for some reason.
Really? Nobody's posted this yet?
But since it's a high frequency wave wouldn't it not diffuse as much as say, red light?
X-rays interact very strongly with the electron clouds in atoms, actually. The interaction of radiation with matter isn't a simple trend that increases or decreases in any sort of particular way up and down the spectrum - different sorts of electromagnetic radiation interact completely differently with different parts of atoms and to differing intensities.
