Kotaku is pure shit, its just Gawkers video game shit. Patricia honestly looks like she smells like an animal.

yeah kotaku is hardly the most coherent source out there, and it doesn't even hold a candle compared to sources like jim sterling or rock paper shotgun, but why even reply w/ "wow i bet she smells like cigarette butts and POO"
Don't even joke.
What? He's just saying how ripe he feels.
That video isn't even really all that amusing, and the 'offending' bit in particular is just the old-fashioned, awkward standing next to players and doing animations to make it seem sexually humorous. Albeit with being able to force other players to do animations as well, but seriously, it's traditional stupid and immature game trolling rather than OH MY GOD RAPE SOMEBODY CALL THE COPS ON THESE SICKOS
turn off the fucking game if you're offended by this shit
turn off every game if you're patricia hernendez
like, just stop reporting about games. never touch, speak of, or look at the cover art of a game again

I really don't give a shit about what this dumb tumblerine has to say, but speaking of Chr0m3, his GTA Fucker mod is hilarious. Especially now when he can blow up people while deaths will be pinned on a different player he selected, so everyone else in server will just yell at some kid who is supposedly modding. Also he raped Rockstar dev. And not one, iirc.
Can't wait for V on PC. I'm sure there will be mods and trainers to have fun with.
Shaking my head at some of the responses to this thread.

you shouldn't really even be surprised at this point
I hope on gta 5 pc online we can mod anything and that we won't get banned and we can all have fun being aliens shooting apes or apes going on a store rob or you know a heist. If we can do that I will be happy.

yeah i really expect unfunny rape jokes from manchildren when i play multiplayer on games with restrictive servers as a common occurrence or from farming simulator 2075
there's a good reason why stuff like this is outed (unless if you have a libertarian view on games lmao)
wait, you can use your mod to affect OTHER players that don't have said mod in GTA:Online? how does that even work, isn't GTA: Online a MMO of sorts?

mommy someone hurt my feelings online :(

yes because the issue is as simple as that
no it isn't
Oy,
Not that I care too much about being rated dumb, but I don't know how I can be disagreed with in this instance.
If you say "sh*t", it's no less offensive than saying the word "shit". Everyone knows what you're talking about, so just say it. In this case it's even dumber. The word "rape" in itself admittedly evokes strong, violent behavior, and taking a letter out of it doesn't save anyone any trouble when reading the word. I mean, how do they expect their readers to react?
"Well, gee, that missing letter saved me a world's worth of trauma!"
Are we hitting the point where the word "rape" isn't even allowed to be said? What's wrong with saying "rape"? Rape in itself isn't offensive. Rape is a serious, traumatic, and heinous crime, but why are we censoring the word rape? What's a better way of saying "rape"? What's the politically correct alternative? "R*pe"? That doesn't do anything better - it just barely obfuscates a word that anybody - including most people have been raped - can figure out. So what's the proper way to write a headline that includes the word "rape" that without just ditching the piece as a whole and not including it?
Kotaku's being laughably idiotic in this instance, but it's pointing to a bigger problem with censorship ruining the English language. Listen to this Biggest Problem In The Universe episode at 40:15.

It's like Grand Theft Auto IV, presumably, in that players are packed in small peer-to-peer matchmaking or friend servers based around the master server like most games (if i'm using the terms right). IV didn't have any cheat protection, so people could go on with a Trainer in the background or even certain scripts, and make themselves invulnerable or turn off gravity in the area, even make their characters do various animations or blow up everything in a radius around them. It was incredibly easy for cheaters to ruin everyone's fun. Once people started modding their 360s and PS3s to get into V, it likely wasn't much harder whatsoever. Sort of like a clientside hack that can affect variables for everyone else, it's not really a 'mod'.

The article doesn't censor "rape". That was just OP.

You are aware, that the game in which this is happening is GTA5. A game where you at one point waterboard someone, yank out some of their teeth, break their kneecaps and generally brutalise them. Also a game where you can drive around murder anyone and everything, also a game where at one point it's heavily implied that one of the main characters raped another character.
If a silly exploit like this is where you draw the line, I just don't know why you even bother with GTA at all.
You are aware this game is 18+ right?
The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 18 years and over only.
It contains: Extreme violence - Multiple, motiveless killing - Violence towards defenceless people - Strong language
Perhaps you should pay heed to the warnings on the box and pick a more age appropriate title?
I thought he just copy+pasted everything. Blah. Disregard most of what I said. :(

yes i am aware that this is gta. it doesn't excuse the fact that this community-made exploit for mp is passable because of the game itself that's obviously going to be patched out by rockstar eventually

They might do some patching to handle more rampant exploits or issues, but they never handled hacks/cheats for GTA IV, they never handled it for Max Payne 3, and I doubt they'll ever handle it for GTA V. So don't get your hopes up.
