Uh, I've played it, it's not another run of the mill fps. It's fucking stupid to say so.
Not another run of the mill but still not as hyped as many other titles have been.
This is my thinking aswell. Crysis 2 is certainly going to be a decent game and plenty are going to get it and plenty won't. Thing is though it's not that anticipated or hyped so no-one is in a hurry to get it. If the anticipation was there and people really wanted it they would download it now but because everyone is rather apathetic towards it, no-one cares.
It's pretty hyped and anticipated in my opinion, i've seen a lot of hype for it. A lot of people anticipating it. [editline]13th February 2011[/editline]
Not another run of the mill but still not as hyped as many other titles have been.
Hype is now how we determine the quality of a game?

It's also certainly got it's following but when you think of all the other titles being released this year it is kind of obscured and just thrown in with other titles.
When you think about this year in terms of game releases, almost every other title is crowded by another AAA title.
Yeah, and Crysis is no different. There isn't hype for it just like there's little to no hype for anything else.
Yeah, and Crysis is no different. There isn't hype for it just like there's little to no hype for anything else.
True. I guess I just misunderstood your original point. I think it's a very good game for the year though.

It was supposed to be released during the holidays.
I'm proud of us gentlemen
To be honest, I don't think it's the fact people respect the company, I think it's to do with the fact that everyone is saying it's buggy as fuck and not bothering. But, this is good news either way.
Haha, well written pitch to mask the clear FACTS of piracy. Downloads are low on this because pirates are patient. Patient enough to just torrent the real one a few weeks later.
The bullshit posted about pirates and shit here is just getting stupid. Yeah, there are people that will only pirate the real game with no intention of buying it. There are people who have torrented this and have decided to buy it. There are people who would have pirated the full game and made a decision to buy it later, or not and keep playing it. People have different motivations. summing up the motive of all people that download things as the same, is fucking stupid. And this STILL just goes to show, developers should start releasing short 2 hour demos(Yes, this is a full leak) would give you all the chance and choice in the world on whether to buy a game or not. It would be the best sales strategy for a good game. It would beat any review. Any advertisement. And I bet it would be cheaper too.

Im super poor but even Im not going to resort to pirating it. I bet they will lose more money off of used copies being sold then they would pirates.
Semper Fidealis for Crytek. I'm not going to torrent a game when I can buy the same one later on in a much more finished form.
I love you too much to pirate this Crytek
To be honest, I had forgotten all about Crysis 2 until the leak happened. Now, after I've seen all the pics and videos people have posted, I can't wait to buy it too. I wouldn't be suprised if this was all some zany last-ditch attempt marketing ploy by CryTek, to avoid bankrupcy or something.

I don't get it. Is there gonna be official release on PC? or will it be canceled on pc and we have to play that leak shit?
And those of us that cannot afford a PC that can play it still remain unaffected. :smith:
what I've seen from pictures + one video of the leak it looks pretty good but I don't know if I like the graphics as much as crysis 1 or not i'll be buying it retail for PC after it comes out because i'm not in the money at the moment [editline]14th February 2011[/editline]
And those of us that cannot afford a PC that can play it still remain unaffected. :smith:
get it for xbox or something
I don't want to be restricted to consoles any more. It's bad enough having to play New Vegas on it without being able to mod stuff. Ever since I was able to borrow a copy of Oblivion for my laptop I've never wanted to go back to playing vanilla console games with their shitty controllers.
It's because nobody really cares about Crysis 2 right now. At all.
Hell the PR this give might even be a positive thing.
It's because nobody really cares about Crysis 2 right now. At all.
Need better computer, yes? :P
Hell the PR this give might even be a positive thing. Need better computer, yes? :P
my ATI Radeon HD 3450 is way more superior than any one on the market right now. I know it because of my fps in GTA IV. 3. :smug:
It's because nobody really cares about Crysis 2 right now. At all.
Nope, quite a few people do actually.
There is also a bigger chance to be found when downloading leaked content, than downloading content that have been released. Atleast I think it is.
There is also a bigger chance to be found when downloading leaked content, than downloading content that have been released. Atleast I think it is.
Not really. It's all about the same in term of "danger" but there are many ways to not get caught at all, namely peerguardian and non-retardation. Also, some countries don't even care at a federal/state/provincial level
Nice, Crytek didn't deserve this...

I just hope this doesn't turns into the HL2 of 2011, that would be awfull :ohdear:
I just hope this doesn't turns into the HL2 of 2011, that would be awfull :ohdear:
Don't you mean that would be awesome? half life 2 had amazing sales. That leak did shit all to deter it. Leaks always do shit all. piracy does shit all.
