When I read the title I thought the man missed his pet mouse, so he took revenge on his roomate.

I'm fairly certain I did something similar to this in Fallout New Vegas. Tried to shoot a radroatch, missed, hit a dude in the knee, he starts shooting, so I shoot back, and when I search the body I find he's got weird tapes of him killing prostitutes.

The guy is 34. A 34 year old guy having an 'affair' with a 13 year old girl, but it's okay because 'she wanted it' right? She's not old enough to legally sign her own contracts, to join the military, to vote, to drive...but she knows enough to decide if sex with a 34 year old is in her best interest?

Emotionally, sex is something that forms a strong bond between two people. I think 13 year olds can understand strong emotional bonds. The only thing a minor will have problems with is the strange social status sex has gotten. It's taboo and naughty, and -especially- if it involves minors. It's everywhere, yet nobody wants minors to know about it. The way sex is handled is completely confusing to everybody, and that is the only thing about sex that could possibly be hard to understand. But again it is completely unrelated and you can't apply it in this case because there's the extra layer of why was she hiding in a closet? I tested this, you cannot kill rats inside walls with a Ruger 10/22 while standing in the middle of the room. You got to track them down, using a stud finder and a stethoscope, then blast through the wall.

I'm not saying that sex with minors is okay, not at all. There's a plethora of problems and bullshit which makes it a horrible thing to do. I don't think anybody is denying how terrible it can be when adults have sex with minors; I just don't think [I]consent[/I] has anything to do with it, because sex in itself is a fucking simple concept. It's all the other bullshit that causes the harm. And consent also becomes an additional problem if the kid hasn't gotten any education about sex at all, which is probably also the case most of the time. But all this is pretty off-topic, there's so much we do not know about this specific case. The fact that she was hiding in a closet, and the fact that she is 13 years old both raise alarm flags, but at the same time those two things are the only things we know. Obviously something is wrong, but I don't think a discussion about consent fits in this thread.
