Seriously, when did animal life become equal or more important than that of a humans? Some of you need to grow up.
This church is a splinter group from the mormons, started by a pedophile. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Jeffs
There was a thread recently, in which a 4 year old kid died from a falling tombstone It was a complete accident and the first 2 pages were filled with puns and the op mostly had funny ratings
god who cares thank goodness you were here to expose the crushing hypocrisy involving death-puns here in sensationalist headlines
god who cares thank goodness you were here to expose the crushing hypocrisy involving death-puns here in sensationalist headlines
I am not saying I am against puns (had a few good laughs from those and felt myself awful afterwards) I just find it funny that an animal life is valued above human life when talking about news
I am not saying I am against puns (had a few good laughs from those and felt myself awful afterwards) I just find it funny that an animal life is valued above human life when talking about news
because the circumstances are entirely different [editline]9th July 2012[/editline] i'm never gonna say people who hurt animals get the death penalty etc etc but it takes a different kind of sicko to torture a pet than it takes to kill a person
If it really was religious nutjobs...
Oh thanks.
I don't see why everybody is acting like women and closing the video. It's just a cat stuck in concrete. What do you even expect to see on liveleak? Bloody thing was whining all the way through though, had to get up and turn down my speakers.
Oh thanks.
no hard feelings man, can't even prove it was you
Nope. Not watching it. Fuck that. I'm gonna hug my 2 cats and dog now.
I really hope they burn in hell!
Such a catastrophic event!
Seriously, when did animal life become equal or more important than that of a humans? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Jeffs
Well, it's a bit more complicated than that from what I can see. The original Mormons practiced polygamy, so when they outlawed it after a while (it might have had to do with joining the US or something), some people broke off. These are those people that thought that the new Mormon church was disobeying its doctrine, which I guess makes sense. That's really all it boils down to. I've never seen a cat show the same sort of emotions as humans at our level. If we're going to call a firing squad on these people, shouldn't we also on the people that raise cattle and slaughter them? To me it's the same sort of principle.
Oh my god the video I'm not one to get upset about stuff like this usually but this made my eyes well up :(
Why is he blaming the mormons? Why the hell would mormons want to bury a cat?
why would they wear magic underwear?

They simply aren't. I'm not sure if you understand what self-awareness is, but you need to not attribute it to things all willy-nilly. Meta-cognizance is simply the ability to think about the act of thinking. That is the threshold of self-awareness (e.g. I think therefore I am.) Cats are sentient, but so is goddamn near everything with eyes.

Consciousness as in sentience (the ability to react to stimuli with reason) is nothing special. It's sapience and meta-cognition that make humans special. This has long been the case.
Y'know, i think that the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints needs to be found buried in concrete. ...seriously though, that's freaking terrible. the Fundie Church of long freaking names needs it's shit investigated. Maybe Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wasn't exaggerating as much as i thought he was. EDIT: Yes, i am late. I WANT MORE CLOCKS.
There was a thread recently, in which a 4 year old kid died from a falling tombstone It was a complete accident and the first 2 pages were filled with puns and the op mostly had funny ratings
Well if that cat was, say, crushed by a giant ball of yarn, it would be funny.
Well if that cat was, say, crushed by a giant ball of yarn, it would be funny.
actually im pretty sure facepunch would threaten to lynch the ball's owner with yarn.

I'm not one who is easily disturbed, but this is atrocious. What a poor cat, it must have been in incredible pain. It would have probably been more humane to have put the cat to sleep while it was still in the cement.
I got up to where he showed the cat in the pipe encased in cement meowing and I cried. What the fuck is wrong with people? How the FUCK could you EVER look at something as innocent and harmless and adorable as a cat and think it would be in any way shape or form appropriate to do something to it you wouldn't do to a person?
My dad had lived in Arizona all his life, and this reminds me of the times when he told me that he would throw kittens into the canal and into wet semment. I feel bad for those cats even though I wasnt alive to be there.
The video made me sad. Poor cat was terrified. Last year someone strapped a firework to my cat and nearly killed the poor thing, well it only lived a couple months after that, he never was the same. Some people are just sick.
Did you kick the guys ass?

Though I have to say, at least where I live, it isn't uncommon for a lot of teenage guys to do things like shoot animals like cats with pellet guns or throw dead pigeons at each other. (shooting ranges use pigeons, and a lot of guys get paid good bucks to go round up the corpses and make sure they're dead and throw them away)
