Cat Found Buried Alive in Concrete (up to its neck) - Arizona
If I had to guess, I'd say it died because it had been buried in concrete.
Wasn't totally buried. Still was able to breathe. I've seen cats that are 6 weeks old and weigh six ounces. Obviously was not malnourishment.
But how comparable are those emotions? How deep are they? Do they feel bad because of a deep psychological reason, or just because they won't get anymore food from them? Those are the questions of my life.
I give up on this argument, you guys are essentially agreeing with this quote "torturing a pet worse than torturing a human" and that is...too much stupidity for me for one day.
With me it depends on how vulnerable the "victim" (animal or human) is. Id rather see a grown man tortured than a kitten

What the FUCK
Do elaborate.
Here you go:
I imagine it's from overheating, not being able to move for hours(blood clots), not being able to breathe pproperly, being exhausted from trying to get out of this or whatever fucking reason it's been buried in concrete holy fuck
Okay
Clementine
Let's go back to the situation in the OP
The cat was dropped into a pipe, to send the land owner a message that "we don't want you here."
I'm pretty sure, considering I've worked with rescue cats, that they feel probably as much as we do - so the problem is people like you have awful misconceptions that, well, "hey a cat's just a cat, no loss." So what makes it different when you say "a person's just a person, no loss."?

Oh and I hope trolling on my profile page makes you feel better about your shitty opinions and lack of argumentative ability

Lack of argumentative ability? Fuck off you're fucking kidding right? I've proven you wrong, argued every point you've made, and made you look like a fucking joke every single time, which you continue to prove me right. They do NOT feel just as much as we do, holy FUCK that is ignorant and just plain WRONG to say. You think we, the animal/species with a brain with more power than an animal 1000 times our size (Blue Whales) have the same fucking emotional ability/degree as a tiny little mammal?

Yes, I do. Because I've seen it happen.

You've seen a cat kill itself out of emotional pain?
I really have yet to see either of you put forth evidence of your claims.

Would you please just stop. No one in this thread agrees with you, other then Dave, and you are not going to make anyone think differently.
Just stop posing. Just stop.
In fact saying animals do not have the same emotional capabilities of a human is wrong. They just aren't self-aware and don't suffer from depression and other emotional disorders. I've seen every basic emotion a human can express shown on cats and dogs.
Go yell at a dog and tell me it doesn't look frightened. Go pet a cat and tell me it doesn't look happy. Watch the video in the OP and tell me that that cat is not traumatized.
Holy fucking shit are you still going, you are dense as fuck. How hard is it to let you know that PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OWN VIEWS, try to respect them instead of bashing them senseless and saying they're wrong
What are you even trying to accomplish arguing with a bunch of people on the internet about what emotions humans can feel for smaller animals either way?
At the end of the day you will have accomplished NOTHING because those people will still stick to their views, I guarantee it, and nothing you say will change their personal opinions about animal life.
I don't even see why it's such a fucking gargantuan issue to you in the first place to what OTHER people who aren't YOU feel about lesser animals. As I said how about let people have their own fucking views, I can't say that enough.
Ontop of that the degree of self awareness or wether they have it or not doesn't fucking MATTER AT ALL, if people want to feel sorry for a fucking cat so let them
because that's something that cats don't/can't do, they don't feel emotion to the point where it translates to physical pain and physical affliction. Cat's don't create physical ailments because of severe mental pain (it happens with humans)
You've seen a cat kill itself out of emotional pain?
Animals will starve themselves. Do some research.

Because its a fucking forum where we are supposed to debate different concepts and ideas, I disagree with this so much that I will argue it, go fucking figure. Don't be a little bitch just because you can't actually argue and tell me to go away, just argue, and prove me wrong.

A cat will? Because I know some animals do that, but those are the very VERY smart animals (still nothing compared to us might I add) like Bottlenose Dolphins and shit.

That is why we have Mass Debate, we are in a fucking news forum.

Congratulations, you've determined that the feline brain and the human brain are physiologically different. That doesn't suddenly make it better when you encase a cat in concrete.
Wow... this made me sad.
Yep can't find any proof that cats kill themselves, in fact all I've found are people saying they've never heard of it and that it doesn't happen.

But what was your point of arguing when all you did in the beginning was not argue, but bash people for feeling sympathy for another living creature and yell at them "waah that's disgusting you're disgusting""

I'd rather encase a cat that a human, that is the bottom line, and your morals are ruined if you think otherwise, to prioritize a fucking cat's life over your own kind, that is unnatural and wrong.

Because they are the type of people (and this came to be true for certain) that think cats > humans, and care about them more, and that is something I find extremely DISGUSTING.
I'd rather encase a cat that a human, that is the bottom line, and your morals are ruined if you think otherwise, to prioritize a fucking cat's life over your own kind, that is unnatural and wrong.
But noone in this fucking thread has said they do, and if they did say they would kill someone for them trapping the cat, GO FIGURE, WELCOME TO FACEPUNCH YOU SEEM TO BE NEW HERE
Do you think they will actually ACT on that? I can tell you most people on Facepunch including me if I told you I was going to murder someone for this would not actually do it.

Again with stupid hypothetical situations that don't have relevance.
The bottom line here is that whoever dropped the cat in the concrete thinks they are disposable. And since it's fair game, thinking otherwise is unnatural and wrong.

Its the thought that counts, just because someone won't act on extreme racism doesn't make it any less disgusting, that's how I feel about this. I know people won't go kill some person over a cat, or at least I hope so, because then at that point maybe they'd realize how fucking stupid that would be, and how wrong they would be...but it still is gross to see people actually stating that they think cats > human and that they'd rather see a grown man tortured than a cat.
Yep can't find any proof that cats kill themselves, in fact all I've found are people saying they've never heard of it and that it doesn't happen.
That's funny, this was the first google result.

Again, its not the hypothetical situations that count, its the fucking idea that these people share, that "they'd rather see a grown man tortured than a kitten"
but it still is gross to see people actually stating that they think cats > human and that they'd rather see a grown man tortured than a cat.
that's not what we're trying to argue here
This isn't some kind of Saw movie where you have to choose and feel guilty about yourself. This is about thinking common household pets are disposable. It's wrong, it's immoral, it's a backwards, caveman-style belief where people think that animals don't feel pain, and it's wrong.
Yep can't find any proof that cats kill themselves, in fact all I've found are people saying they've never heard of it and that it doesn't happen.
Where are you looking for "proof" are you looking in your mind that is totally uneducated in this subject?
That's funny, this was the first google result.
Find an actual article or whatever in that that literally shows that cats can commit suicide...oh right, you can't, don't just post a blanket "citation" and expect it to work without giving me a specific citation.
Again, its not the hypothetical situations that count, its the fucking idea that these people share, that "they'd rather see a grown man tortured than a kitten"
And again, no it's not, I'm pretty sure given a choice between torturing a cat and a person, any sane person would pick the cat.
