Okay Clementine Let's go back to the situation in the OP The cat was dropped into a pipe, to send the land owner a message that "we don't want you here." I'm pretty sure, considering I've worked with rescue cats, that they feel probably as much as we do - so the problem is people like you have awful misconceptions that, well, "hey a cat's just a cat, no loss." So what makes it different when you say "a person's just a person, no loss."? In fact saying animals do not have the same emotional capabilities of a human is wrong. They just aren't self-aware and don't suffer from depression and other emotional disorders. I've seen every basic emotion a human can express shown on cats and dogs. Go yell at a dog and tell me it doesn't look frightened. Go pet a cat and tell me it doesn't look happy. Watch the video in the OP and tell me that that cat is not traumatized.
