yeah the story is set up for a sequel but it doesn't matter because the whole film was shit
Jesus christ did every highly regarded movie/show kill your family members
If I remembered correctly there were a lot of loose ends in Incredibles, plus sequel baiting.
The film ended by introducing a new villain, it was either a setup for a sequel that fell through, or they forgot to include John Ratzenberger until the last minute. Or it was a setup for the video games, but no, just no.
yeah the story is set up for a sequel but it doesn't matter because the whole film was shit
Dare I ask what you thought was so shit about it?
I didn't know anyone wanted a sequel.
My son is going to have a happiness-attack when it comes out lol
If I remembered correctly there were a lot of loose ends in Incredibles, plus sequel baiting.
The cliffhanger ending doesn't mean they had plans for a sequel, it was the cheesy action movie theme the film does have. Doesn't deny the fact that it should have a sequel.
There is nothing that needs a sequel more than anything else, if it's good movie it's a good movie. If the sequels are good everyone says 'yes a sequel to this was really fitting and necessary' but otherwise they're like 'man why are all sequels so terrible' people act like the quality of the sequel has something to do with the original movie but really it's just about how good the sequel is in and of itself.
Who's to say the Finding Nemo sequel won't be? I know it's hard to imagine, but you never know.
Monsters U was pretty good.
We still need a incredibles 2 sequel... and none about it yet.
I don't really get why people want a sequel to the movie, I thought the ending implied that the family were serving as the city's heroes. (seeing as heroes were outcasts originally)
yeah the story is set up for a sequel but it doesn't matter because the whole film was shit
"i don't like fun" - Butre.
Neither did Monster's University.
I don't know about a sequel, but it sure as heck didn't need a prequel.
Did they just spoil the movie's ending
If I recall correctly, the ending of the Incredibles was a scene where they get a call from the commissioner guy that some place was getting robbed and they needed their help which leads to the whole family getting dressed up to go fight thus ending the film with the implication that they would embrace their superhero ways and fight crime like the good old days as a family. I don't really think that's a cliffhanger, if anything it's a perfect setup for a cg cartoon spinoff following the daily lives of the Parr family as they try to blend in with society as well as fight evil.

No, they're walking out of a stadium and the Underminer tunnels out of the ground.
What? No, they're walking out of a stadium and the Underminer tunnels out of the ground.
It actually did get a sequel. The Rise of the Underminer (a gen 6 videogame) is actually considered the sequel to The Incredibles.
What? No, they're walking out of a stadium and the Underminer tunnels out of the ground.
Oh yeah, I haven't seen it in years so thank you for that, even so, doesn't it still imply the same? I mean, he was kind of a joke villain that the family shared a smile over when they realized they would be fighting crime together. [sp]I really think there should have been Incredibles cartoon is what i'm getting at here.[/sp]
Dare I ask what you thought was so shit about it?
it had no comedic or dramatic elements and felt like a bunch of saturday morning cartoons rolled into one big turd. the formula obviously worked considering it made them 261 million dollars but it was clearly made for 10 year old boys.
Monsters U was pretty good.
no boo 0/10 would not watch
the formula obviously worked considering it made them 261 million dollars but it was clearly made for 10 year old boys.
Yes it was? I don't see your point here.
Monsters University I heard wasn't too bad (certainly not as bad as Cars 2). But like Cars 2 it was completely unnecessary. It actually was originally planned to be a sequel where Sully and Mike would go through Boo's door only to find she moved away and they venture into the human world and look for her (I think Boo was going to be a teenager in the film). As for the Incredibles, yes I agree it's definitely very deserving of a sequel. Brad Bird said he's been thinking about a sequel but has been busy with other things and he wants to take his time and not just put out a half-assed sequel just to please fans.
I thought UP was pretty good. Even though it made me shed man-tears.
I didn't like up I thought the main villain was incredibly contrived
Yes it was? I don't see your point here.
I haven't been a 10 year old boy in quite some time
so they go to a sea world thing and it shows how shitty it is isnt that just the fucking ending of happy feet

Sucks knowing what could have been..
